Potential salary placement for an out-of-state teacher
I’m entering my ninth year of teaching, and eyeing a shift to NYC at some point in the next couple of years. The salary lanes/PD requirements look a bit different from what I’m used to reading, so I just want to clarify where I would fall.
I have a bachelor’s degree (151 credits), master’s (50.5 cr.), and a CAGS (21 cr.). Those numbers are a little weird, but I’m not sure if that matters (I’m currently in the farthest-right lane for my Massachusetts district, but I know some places have credit requirements for certain lanes). I am eligible for a reciprocal NY license in my subject, if that matters.
Thanks everyone!
