Alr so I realized this when I was, yet again, re-listening to the soundtrack. (Quick side note: I haven’t had time to double check this yet so if this is inaccurate pls lmk yall. Im really just going with my gut here😬)
That in the end of “that would be enough” where Eliza begs Alexander to stay home and take a break while she’s pregnant with his son, the first few notes of “best of wives and best of women” plays! I like to think that the message behind this is, that if Alexander had just stayed home the evening of the duel against Burr (in the song “best of wives and best of women”) he maybe wouldn’t have died. That if he would’ve looked around and seen that ts lwk ain’t worth it he would’ve stayed at home and lived longer.

Yall I think I’m more tired than I thought I was. It could also be from “it’s quiet uptown”.

I noticed this the other week in the song “say no to this!” Where Alexander meets Maria Reynolds. Since we don’t really have any notes/ letters from anyone else talking abt the situation I really like how in the beginning when one of the cast members (maybe Burr but I forgot😭) does the opening:
“… and Alexander’s by himself. I’ll let him tell it.”
Because we only have his version!! It’s super cool how he interpreted that into the musical so it wasn’t too obvious.

I was re-listening to the soundtrack the other day and because it’s Hamilton and there are so many Easter eggs already I was wondering if the whistling had any hidden meaning. I googled as much as I could and found nothing😭 Does anyone know?
