Travel Recommendations for one week in Singapore
Hi everyone!
My partner is coming to visit me in Singapore for about a week, and I've put together a rough itinerary. The goal is to mix the classic must-sees with more local or underrated spots, while keeping the budget reasonable.
Here's the current plan:
Thursday
- Jewel Changi & Rain Vortex
Friday
- Zam Zam
- Sultan Mosque
- Kampong Glam, Arab Street & Haji Lane
- National Gallery
- Raffles Hotel for the Singapore Sling and Merlion by night
Saturday
- Singapore Botanic Gardens + snack
- Evening concert at the Botanic Gardens
Sunday
- Harbour cruise (DBS)
- Early dinner at Lau Pa Sat
- Marina Bay sunset + Spectra + Garden Rhapsody (possibly CÉ LA VI or CapitaSpring viewpoint)
Monday
- Morning hike
Tuesday
- Chinatown (flexible day)
Wednesday
- Little India
- Nüdam coffee letter-writing experience
- Dinner at hawker center / restaurant
Thursday
- Airport
A few questions:
- Are there any attractions or neighbourhoods we're overlooking that are really worth visiting?
- Any hidden gems, local favourites, or unique experiences that tourists often miss?
- Are there places on this itinerary you'd skip because they're overrated?
- Any great budget-friendly food recommendations (hawker stalls, cafés, desserts)?
- Is there anything you'd rearrange to make the itinerary flow better?
We're happy walking a lot, love good food, nature, architecture, nice cafés, and authentic local experiences. We're trying to keep costs low while still making the most of the trip.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations or itinerary tweaks! 🙂
