Sandbag Heartshock and Farmers Tonight

Heartshocks are back on the menu! These are deceptively rough and I love them. Hitting them with the 200 bag for a few weeks. And grip strength is returning nice and strong with a good 230/hand 80’ carry after 210/hand for 160’. The type of training I needed to feel like I’m back on track. 💪🏻

Log Flows are Back on the Menu!

Starting to test my hips/sacrum with some more normal sessions. Used my lightest log flow session to get some work in and I’m STOKED on how good everything felt. This was the final of 6 sets with strict 1:00 rests.

Sandbags for Health!

A sacrum/hip tweak has slowed me down the past two weeks, but getting these hips firing again. Only a 175 bag, but the slower eccentrics my homie suggested made them extra fun.

Deadlift continuing along the right path

This was the first of three triples with 202/445 today. I’m a little shocked that the deadlift is my first lift to get back to the 90% range after recovery, but I’ll take it being a competition lift. A few more weeks of totally raw pulling to ideally mini peak a big single or double in October.

Farmers/SB medley

230/hand farmers into a 225 bag. 30’ each. Ran a few rounds and was able to get a speedier bag run on the final round, but I was stoked on this set of farmers feeling so locked in. Especially after some lighter farmer EMOMs yesterday.

First 4 Plate Squat in At least a Year

Been attacking the work to get back to normal now that my guts are all back where they’re supposed to be. Deadlifts and moving events are back to 85-90% already, but squats have been coming back sloooooow. I’m stoked to finally have my squat back at 4 plates this morning. Slower than I would hope, but smooth. Now I’ve got 200kg in my mind to take that back.
