Sherlock related playlist

Hi guys!!

I'd like to create a Sherlock related playlist just like I've done a few months ago for Good Omens, and I'd like to have as many suggestions as possible. Any song of which either the music or lyrics (or, if possible, both!) makes you think "Oh, that fits the show's mood", please drop its titles here. Can't wait to read your recos 🥉 Update: I don't necessarily mean songs from the show, just those that make you guys think about it

The amazing details in The Finale

Okay, so, The Finale is hugely imperfect, I think we all agree on that, but I'm one of those who absolutely adore it all the same. So I'm trying to do a list of all the things I love about it every time I log it on letterboxd (if you want to take a look, my alias is Cinemadict). And today's list was about all the little details/jokes hidden in the film. Please help me completing it!!! :'3

- Muriel deactivates the tablet with a password before giving it to Jesus

- In his cryptic crosswords, Aziraphale mentions Billie Wilder’s Sunset Boulevard, whose most famous quote is “Stars are ageless, aren’t they?”

- Mr Arnold – notorious whovian – wears a stalk of celery, just like the Fifth Doctor

- When Michael remembers the Metatron after having erased him, we can see it’s all in her head because his reflection doesn’t move

- There’s a cross knitted on Jesus’ jumper

- When driving the Bentley for the first time, Crowley and Aziraphale pass by a few LGBT+ flags

- “My Best Games of Chess: 1908-1937” by Alexander Alekhine is in the foreground when we see Derek behind the counter in the human bookshop

- Aziraphale wore the same tartan during The Great War than during the whole series (including on his human shirt)

- Crowley finally eats something (a mouthful of ice cream)

- When the humans disappear in the street, no-one reacts because the more “insignificant” people are, the quickest they get forgotten

- Aziraphale turning Brian Cameron’s gun into a water pistol shaped like a sharp probably refers to the Metatron turning Bethany’s club into a dead fish in Dogma

- When Jesus fools Harry the Fish with his card, did he miracle The Lady away? Unwillingly, perhaps, but the pizza scene did show us his “magical” skills

- Aziraphale’s fake nose as Lord Slouch was worn by Laurence Olivier in his Richard III production

- Queen’s “Don’t stop me now” has been cut right before the line “I’m a sex machine”, maybe on purpose

- Charles Dickens’ “Bleak House” – though I haven’t read it yet – seems to present a lot of quotes resonating with The Finale, like “I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free. Mankind will surely not deny to Harold Skimpole what it concedes to the butterflies.”, “The universe makes rather an indifferent parent, I'm afraid.”, “All partings foreshadow the great final one.” and “Constancy in love is a good thing; but it means nothing, and is nothing, without constancy in every kind of effort.”

- The bookshop has always been Aziraphale and Crowley’s Eden, so God pictures it this way

- Asa’s yellow waistcoat matches Crowley’s snaky eyes

- In the street, Anthony stops in the front of a wall where a demonic cupid throws an arrow, which in this case points directly at his heart. In the same spirit, when Asa brings him cocoa in the end, the lightings briefly shape wings behind his back

- Every Archangel’s last action defines them; Sandalphon betrayes for power, Uriel warns a higher authority, Saraqael comforts Muriel, Michael destroys everything and everyone believing she’s doing the right thing, and Aziraphale sacrifices himself for the sake of Humanity

- It really was “The whole of us against all of them”

- In the end credits, the Globe Theatre is shaped as an actual globe (there must be trillions of little jokes hidden in the credits, but I’m too lazy to spot them -)

- When Crowley talks to Aziraphale under the tree, he’s literally on the side of the angel, given the little black-and-white statue of a cherub standing beside

- The corner of Berwick Street we see when Asa follows Anthony is one big detail in itself, we have: A tower looking exactly like the Tenth’s sonic screwdriver; “Agnes Nutter book signing”; Aziraphale’s key ring behind one of the windows; Heaven Sent – written on one of the shop’s front – a Doctor Who episode about a time loop from which the Doctor escapes by admitting his mistakes, fighting a diamond wall, and believing in fairy tales, more or less; the pet shop/cleaner (didn’t manage to read that properly) is called Rada (aka RADA, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, I might be extrapolating on that -), etc.

- In S.1, Queen’s “You”re My Best Friend” played when Crowley thought Aziraphale was dead, when he actually simply was discorporated. In the end credits, “You’re My Best Friend” plays once more to show us that they’re not truly gone, and that love is stronger than anything else

- David Tennant played Arthur Eddington in 2008 (“Einstein and Eddington”) and it’s a book of his that Anthony buys

- The coat of arms in the pub is yellow and represents a snake, this has to mean something but no idea what

I know I have missed a lot of things, so if anyone spotted anything more, please comment! I wish I could have analyzed the final frame when we see Anthony and Asa’s chairs and there are billions of objects surrounding them, but I don’t have that much of a sight, so it was all kind of blurry to me – same for the other shops of Berwick Street actually – but I’m sure you guys have seen wonders! The other thing troubling me is the clothing; I know there’s a peculiar fabric-language – which I don’t speak – and also that some patterns feature on the inner lining of Crowley’s Heavenly jacket, or on Dagon’s amazing outfit, but that’s too much for me.
