Landlord harrasment
Hi guys new here,
Me and my roomate are living in an apartment. We are college students of Kristu Jayanti University. So we live in kothanur near westside. So my landlord is not a nice guy we had to take this flat due to certain circumstances. He shouts at people for no reason. So once when we first entered the flat, it barely had a functioning bathroom. I was alone and scared. Shifted into this apartment for the first time that too without my roomate. We had paid the first half of the deposit and were going to pay the rest. When i was in the flat he cut the electricity and water. I was crying of pain and in the heat.
Next he shouted at my guy friend for coming into the apartment for two minutes. I thought alright his rules and he told i can do whatever i want outside the gate. Now today at 10.30 pm mind you i was crying abt something and my guy friend consoled me. This was not even in front of my apartment but a few meters away from that. He came as i didnt know tamil my friend spoke and he shouted and asked him to shut up. Then i went he called put his wife asked her to lock the apartment then asked me what nuisance im doing at 10pm and asked me to go to his room if i need. Eventually i got in but i still want to do something against him. Now a few things about my apartment we are staying without an agreement because he asked 800 to us for it. Which i have no idea why and agreement causes 800 rupees.
Can anyone help me out on what i should do because i dont want to leave this issue as such. And if i have to get a lawyer will it be too much since i am only a student. Kindly help
