I had a total hysterectomy 18 days ago

September 16, I had a total hysterectomy. Everything except one ovary. I had endometriosis in my pelvic area according to my doctor. It was called a frozen pelvis. My left ovary had an endometrioma, the size of an egg, my right ovary was fused to my rectum with endometriosis and my cervix had stage three carcinoma. I know that there was a lot of work done in my pelvic area, but 18 days out from surgery, I’m still having a hard time taking a poop. It hurts so bad I’ve been taking stool softeners. I take Miralax every day. Everything to combat constipation. And it’s not that I’m constipated. It’s more so it just really, really hurts to poop. I brought it up to my doctor at my two week postop appointment and he said it’s normal because my bowels go right over top of my vaginal cuff. He said there’s probably still a lot of swelling in my pelvic area as well. I’m just hoping for insight from someone who’s had something similar and can tell me if this is what they felt and when did it get better and what can I do to make it better?

Restructuring

Hi! Casual lurker here,

So I was/am the full-time CEM at my store. I was given the option to take the sales manager position. However, given the scheduling that they are requiring now, I am unable to fulfill what they’re asking. There are no other positions available in my store, even if there was, I wouldn’t take it because I would be losing out on pay because I would have to take a pay cut. So my last day they told me would be August 23rd.

I really don’t want to stay until then, because I feel like I’m being treated different with them knowing that I’m leaving. The past two days I have called in, and I am considering calling in tomorrow. The only issue that keeps me from actually calling in tomorrow is that’s our truck day and I know truck days are normally tight when it comes to scheduling managers and I really don’t wanna put anyone in a bad place schedule wise on the other hand, should I really care? My husband says that I should just call in and say fuck it and fuck them. He keeps telling me that I’m being too considerate, considering they were not considerate of me. And I keep having to remind him, It’s corporate they don’t care about me.

What would you do in the situation? Would you call in and say fuck it or would you go to work and just do the bare minimum? Keep in mind I do have sick days, but I would like to use before I leave.
