Feeling lost after BTech (2026 grad)

Guys, I just graduated from college, and I never even got a chance to sit for a single interview. I'm from a Tier 3 college, and unfortunately, no companies visited our campus. I have an 8.2 CGPA, not extraordinary, but I thought it would at least give me a chance to appear for on campus placements. Sadly, that never happened.

I've learned DSA in C++, along with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and SQL. Even in the start of this year i grinded very hard for TCS NQT but after graduating, I've completely lost my motivation. I know my skills are not enough and I honestly feel lost... I don't know what to do now...

I really need some career guidance.

Should I continue focusing on tech and prepare for software development roles? If yes, what should I focus on? MERN? Java? Go? Something else?

Or should I shift my focus toward BDE/SaaS sales roles, get a job as soon as possible to support my family, and then transition back into tech later or maybe forget about tech if I get into good position?

I can't prepare for M.Tech because my parents are hoping I'll start earning and support them financially.. As i studied with a loan and my family is not well financially

I also prepared for TCS NQT. During the coding round, I came up with an optimal solution for one of the problems and the other one i could solve with brute force approach... but for some reason my code just wouldn't run, even after checking it multiple times.. but the same code ran in my compiler and the output was exactly as expected.. That experience really shattered my confidence.

Right now, I'm confused about everything. I don't know which path to commit to, and I don't want to waste more time by choosing the wrong one.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation? What would you do if you were in my place?

I don't really have anyone I can talk to about this, so I'm posting here hoping someone can guide me.

Made a blunder(l i e d) while purchasing term insurance

I have lied about my salary in my Term Insurance.. i mean the agent told me i don't need to show any kind of proof for my term insurance as it's 50lakh.. so I told him that I get some salary working in someplace.. That pays me around 21k in-hand..( i lied about that) actually I get around 15k for my studies from my parents so I thought of buying a term plan.. I don't know what do i do now, can anyone guide?

Update: they called me now even after applying for the cancellation and asking me to keep the plan.. when I asked about him that I don't want to start with a lie so cancel it .. but still they are saying there will be no issue.. as they will simply transfer my source of income from salaried to self employed( work with my father in his shop)... Anyway, I've gone ahead with the cancellation... Anyway, I've gone ahead with the cancellation.

I really want to know can we buy term insurance this way??? Isn't this illegal and your claim will be rejected if something ever happens to you

Abhi wo log call karke bol rha hain ki "keep the policy you don't have to show anything".. maine bar bar confirm Kiya ki mujhe koi dikkat nhi chahiye baadme . Toh bola koi dikkat nhi hoga... Maine cancel Kiya tha fir call karke verify kar rha tha fir bhi udhar bol diya cancel karne k liye.. ab thori der baad firse call aya bola ki aap rakhiye aap agar salaried nhi bhi ho tab bhi chalega just aap gig worker show kar dena. Maine unko bola agar aisa hain toh continue kar dijiye fir... idk man what's going on.. aur mujhe kya karna chahiye.. kuch suggest karo.. i just want to start a term insurance at a very early and lock the premium.

Planing to fake experience as a fresher for Tech job

Hey i am 2026 BTech grad from a tier 3 college of west bengal..

Close to zero companies visited for placement.. our placement cell is forwarding the BPO companies link and asking to apply there.. so recently I got a WFH in a Tele performance company(StarTek) with with a CTC of 18k, but after PF and all the in hand is 14.5k...

My fundamentals are quite strong in DSA, C++, JS, TS, Tailwind, React, Redux and have solved around 300+ DSA Qs. Didn't include c,java, python as it's been quite a long since I learnt them and as I don't use them anymore so I didn't write it in my CV... For Projects - I don't have much great projects honestly..

So my question is if I work in startek BPO for 6 months around and then fake my experience stating that I worked there as a frontend dev( or something idk currently).. will this be okay as PF will be already deducting from salary okay?? Will this PF and 6 months bank statement be helpful in document verification?

Also i am planning to fake my experience now and side by side apply for the frontend jobs and learn backend and do some projects with the current Job... What do you say? I really need the correct guidance.. is there anyone who did exactly thesame or something similar when he/she was a fresher?
