Account suddenly demanding MFA after getting random child safety violations all weekend.

Me and a bunch of people on this gaming community server started getting random false Child Safety violations from discords AI mod for random nondescript messages we sent over the last 3 months. It limited my account and kept pushing the date back until yesterday morning when I opened the app it had logged me out and when I tried to log back in it demanded MFA codes but I had never setup MFA on my discord.

Is this something they do to lock you out of your account? I can't find any examples of it happening to anyone else. I never received an email saying I was perma banned or see any message like that when trying to login. I can't even get into my account to ask it to review the additional violations it keep giving me. It so far had reversed one of the violations and removed it.

I have no clue why MFA is suddenly demanded when trying to log into the account or why they suddenly decided to send their AI to audit that server and start handing out nonsense suspensions to people. This app has really gone downhill fast, this is some absolute nonsense.

Received child safety violations all weekend for past random innocent posts until my account was inaccessible this morning.

It started Friday night/Saturday morning (Aug 14/15) where I got two notifications that I had violated Discord's "child safety policy" for two completely inoffensive posts from a month and a half ago in early July. One was me saying "I bet it smells like heaven" which I remember was in reference to someone's food photo and the 2nd was a promotional image for the NTE gacha game from their twitter I had copy pasted into a chat.

I come to find out the same thing had happened to 10+ people all in a medium sized gacha game oriented community server (~80 members) I'm sometimes active in. All of these violations across all affected people were for "Child Safety" and all of them that I saw were for things that were completely normal and inoffensive like saying "hell yeah".

I hit the "Did we make a mistake?" button and asked them to be reviewed.

This continued to happen all weekend through last night up to a total of 9 violations. Some were for copy pasted images that I don't know what they were because the file name shows up as image.png but I am 99.9% confident they were not anything you could construe as endangering children. Others were for saying "Because it's just that big" in reference to a car's engine, "wow that's awesome" and "hey that's pretty cool"

I asked that all of them be reviewed through the "Did we make a mistake" button except for the last one, as that one happened at 5 AM last night and I couldn't see what it was as I could no longer access my account.

When I woke up this morning the application bounced me to the login screen across all my devices. When I attempt to login it takes me to a 2nd factor auth screen that errors out. I did not receive an email saying I was suspended or banned, just the generic "You broke Discord's Community Guidelines" email for each supposed violation and I can't check my account standing because I can't log in.

The other funny thing is last night their AI actually reviewed one of my violations and overturned it: "We have removed this violation from your account." but I guess too little too late.

All these violations as far as I can tell where for things from that gacha gaming community server. I have to imagine their moderation AI decided to audit that server was going wild handing out violations to a bunch of people in there for random things.

My account is around 10 years old and I only had one other violation in all that time when someone got mad at me and reported me for hateful conduct a year and a half ago. I've never dealt with their customer support before but it seems like they basically have no customer support. I did have an active nitro sub for whatever that's worth.

I don't know if I should have gotten an explicit email saying my account was banned/permanently suspended or if it's typical for you to get logged out of your account in this circumstance or how to check what my account standing is. I don't know if there's any actual way to contact their customer support to get a real person to review this or what I can do about it. I tried doing some research but it seems like their processes change too frequently for me to be able to find any reliable information.

This is probably the worst customer experience I've ever witnessed. I don't know how an application this large with this many users can simply just not have customer support especially when they are apparently leaning so heavily on automated systems that are demonstrably very unreliable and erratic.

If anyone has any advice on anything I could do to get them to review this or anything else I would appreciate the help.
