Help with false report/suspending

Recently I have been flagged out and had my account activities such as texting disabled and is at risk for breaking the rules for “financial scams” but I clearly did not, as you can see in the pictures, it is just listings for a game which is stated at the top of my message as well, there is no involvement of any real money or implications, I have tried to appeal through discord support web multiple times but I get an automatic reply asking me to submit through the app, however through the app directions, I get redirected to the website and it is an impossible loop

Seems like a lot of people are also getting banned for ban evasion including me

like 6 days ago roughly my account got banned for ban evasion after joining a couple servers, while I do have two accounts neither got banned prior to this and nor have any of my own servers been banned themselves, I got like 7 years of friendships on the line because of this and I've been checking daily to not a single response from discord yet, I've gone so far as to contact the BBB to hopefully get this resolved, while I do have some of those friends added on steam/consoles I will still lose a handful of friends that are very dear to me on top of 5 years of dungeons and dragons notes/npcs/characters EVERYTHING. Is it just me or is false bans getting worse on the platform?

Need help with answering support ticket for suspended account

Hi, i recently got suspended by discord and I tried to follow the guide to contact the support and get my case reviewed by an human from the trust and safety team but i received this message by "balance Tiger" (i don't know if it's a bot if anyone knows that ?) but I don't know what I should answer. If anyone can help or give tips it would be really appreciated (i also already did the appeal from the app and wait 7 days and get the automatic message)

banned for ban evasion... never been banned before

hello, yesterday day my discord was operating perfectly normal, account was in normal standing as far as i know, but yesterday night my discord got banned for "ban evasion".

i've never been banned from discord before, so how could this be possible?

i use public (college) wifi sometimes, and I'm worried that maybe discord AI mistook me for someone else, but most of the time i don't use that wifi so im not sure. is it possible that's what happened, and if so, how would i even explain that to them? i already requested an appeal/"review" yesterday night (i wasnt able to do any explaining) and not heard anything back.

this account has extremely sentimental messages dating back 5+ years and I'm so scared to lose this account. any advice is appreciated

banned while sleeping

I was banned for supposedly "ban evasion" on my main account? Do you realize how stupid that sounds? Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it? What caused it? It's worth noting that I never used a VPN to avoid bans on any server, and I don't use any other account besides that one. They still haven't responded to my appeal,I was sleeping at the time of the ban.

People in my discord server are getting temporarily banned (across discord!) for posting too many images.

I'm admin of a discord server (<50 members) that has been running for over a year now with no issues. But this week, someone has told me that TWICE they have been temporarily banned from discord (can't send messages or DMs in any server or to anyone) immediately after posting a large number of images (12+) in my server.

They're posting in our art channel, and what they're posting is completely valid and encouraged (images from multiple angles of their work with explanations).

I checked and we have nothing in the Automod tab that stops image spam or anything like that.

The first time I thought "huh that's weird" but the second time, I'm annoyed Discord is doing this of its own accord to people in my server, no matter what my rules are.

I asked the person to send me screenshots of the message they got, which I've included. He says the link doesn't actually work anyway. (???)

Does anyone know if there's a way to stop this from happening...??

Edit: The images are perfectly within content guidelines. The posts aren't flagged or deleted in my server AT ALL. So I wouldn't know if he didn't DM me (on steam lol)

Has anyone who got banned for being associated in a flagged server managed to their suspensions lifted?

So basically, I got permanently suspended about a day ago because of a server I was in. I’ve been reading a lot of posts from people on this subreddit who went through the exact same situation, and honestly, none of it has given me much hope. So I was wondering — has anyone here actually managed to get unbanned? Or should I just let go of my 6 year old account with a 3 year nitro streak away, forever?

Self censoring on Discord is now a complete must. Jokes are illegal and banned. Discord has fallen.

I am very upset with Discord and the way its AI just bans folks and strikes their account for no reason or for dumb reasons. The AI clearly lacks context for anything and can easily be exploited by detractors to get you temporarily limited or banned. I haven't been banned, but I've been dealing with false reports from other users (I guess), because I have had 9 violations since the start of 2026. My account was made in 2015, and I've never had a violation until this year. Thankfully, 7 of the 9 were removed because they were ridiculous.

Here are a couple examples of the ones that got removed after appeal: "I hope Ace Combat 8 will have VR support," "I'd pick Portugal," and also "Hi guys." These, I assume, were reported by other users for reasons I cannot begin to fathom. However, my main server is a pretty large geopolitical server, and I'm decently well known in there. Again, no issues until this year.

The two violations that Discord kept were the following:

The first one was from a conversation about a hypothetical US invasion of Europe and whether a united Western Europe could withstand US airpower. Obviously hypothetical, but that was the conversation at the time. I got a violation for violence or whatever on one of the messages. Unsure if it was reported by a person or if the AI just pinged it. I dunno. Nothing about it was endorsing violence or calling for it. it was discussing a ridiculous scenario as a thought experiment.

The second violation that stayed was for "hateful conduct." In said server, these guys were talking all sorts of Jew this and Jew that, blah blah blah... the kind of people that make their personality about Israel. Anyways, I made a joke to mock them because they sounded stupid. I said the following: "Guys, did you know Benjamin Netanyahu runs Israel? The Jews control Israel! Coincidence?" Discord kept the strike. Nothing about it is hateful, even out of context. I assume one of those guys reported it because I was mocking them. No shit the Jewish state is run by Jews- that's the joke.

Discord is cooked. You cannot even make jokes to mock people who were literally breaking Discord's ToS while you weren't. Their AI is so dumb. Now I have 2 strikes on my account, and I'm "very limited." I feel like I have to self censor myself. I cannot even talk geopolitics in a geopolitical server without fear of Discord's AI going dumb or some idiot who disagrees reporting me.

Who reports someone over a disagreement? I've never reported anyone on Discord. I'm a free speech guy, and I literally don't care what others say, even if it breaks Discord ToS. I may not agree with it, but I do not care.

This is mostly a vent

Anyone gotten banned for being in a server they left years ago?

I see posts here every day with people saying they got banned for being in a discord. I joined a somewhat shady one i think about 1 or 2 years ago simply out of curiosity and left it about a day after. Im honestly a bit scared that AI randomly bans me. My entire life is on Discord, and im mod in 4 servers where i handle tickets every day. I'd appreciate it if someone would confirm if it can or can't happen. Dont remember the name of the shady server, but remember that being quite a few gore pictures, which is against TOS.

Can Discord upgrade a violation after an appeal?

Hey so I've got in my head about this and wondered if there's a likelihood that Discord could up my violation to a higher level through an in-app appeal?

Regarding VPNs

I know by the fact that the future of privacy is looking dark but I do have one question.

Will Discord ban VPNs as the measure of preventing ban evasions in the near future?

My account was hacked by a spam bot (safely recovered). Now my account's standing is at 'very limited' for the next two years. Discord support refuses to lift the violation.

I know this case is not as bad as a lot of people's on here, but I am still absolutely furious and would like to know if there is anything else I can do.

As the title states, my account was hacked by a spam bot that I have sine safely recovered. But shortly afterwards, my account's standing would change to 'very limited' and I would be unable to send messages, requests, etc, for the next 24 hours, and my standing would remain at 'very limited' for the next two years.

After a while, I did finally get in contact with (presumably) a human on Discord Support. I detailed the situation, and politely explained to Support how I felt this punishment was unfair, given this was as a result of a spam bot. Every reply by Support was essentially the same thing with a few words or sentences changed around, leading to the response shown in the last image of this post.

Given how inevitable it can sometimes be to suffer a hack, I find it extremely likely that my account will be suspended if compromised again within the two years this violation is supposedly scheduled to last. So any and all advice would me much appreciated.

EDIT: I have found the guide graciously pinned at the top of this subreddit and will be working through it in the next couple of days if nothing improves. Either way, any and all advice is still appreciated.
