Need some honest advices from people who have experienced both mental and physical bullying.

Need some honest advices from people who have experienced both mental and physical bullying.

I'm still shaking with anger as I type this post:

This guy in the picture bullied the sh*t out of me back when 8th grade, punched me for being quiet and short - heighted kid, humiliated my mom by insults. I told my parents about it, but they yelled back at me, saying they didn't have time for my nonsense. That guy even deliberately humiliated me publicly in class whenever the teacher was out. The girls weren't any better; they ganged up on me and bullied me with nasty words. To make matters worse, my school has a rule that we have to wear the school's own jacket in the winter. But I'm a new transfer student and haven't had a chance to buy one yet in fact didn't even know that jacket existed. Ironically, the school board, consisting of the principal and several other female teachers, came to my classroom and dragged me outside to berate me. The whole class had the opportunity to watch a comedic play. It only ended when I explained to them that I was a new student. I remember I almost cried (my eyes were red and swollen). Lord have mercy, It felt like the whole world was against me at that time.

I'm much different now, 23 years old, tall and strong (I have been working out hard) and I am very eager for revenge. However, I still deeply regret not fighting back back then; although he was taller than me, he was incredibly thin, just skin and bones. If I had fought back, it's not certain that I would have lost. But no, I was too terrified and suffered too much humiliation, and even now I still regret it and filled with hatred.

Honest question: I know that seeking revenge through fighting will get me into a lot of legal trouble. Even though I'm an adult now, I still can't forget the trauma of being bullied in the past, as evidenced by the nightmares I constantly have while sleeping. Have any of you ever experienced bullying like I did? Please give me some honest advice. I would really appreciate it.
