I don't want to distract from what I've done already, but it seems like maybe too much white space. It's a gift for my MIL. Maybe put her last name in some fancy font on the side? Design advice would be very helpful! Thank you!

I've never really done satin stitch before and made this thistle for my mom's birthday. Will it look funny on the leaves if I remove it from the tension of the hoop? I have to mail it, so I might send it in the hoop, but my intention was to hang it as a decorative (non-functional) dish towel. It was such a fun project and I love the result!
