i was messing around with non-totalistic rulesets that are similar to life and i found this oscillator and figured out that it surprisingly also works in regular life

edit: it has been discovered before and its called "four boats"

fun fact in case you didn't know

the r-pentomino generates a queen bee at generation 774 and it even lives long enough to make a beehive (the beehive gets destroyed before it's fully made but the queen bee still survives) but not long enough to make 2

i found a pretty interesting pattern

it's a pattern that creates a queen bee and blinker and kills the queen bee and blinker leaving behind a statue of a generation from the queen bee
