Is JWC fooling in the name of heritage?

Is JWC fooling in the name of heritage?

I genuinely don’t understand how JWC justifies a ₹1.6 lakh price tag for this watch or their other timepieces.

It’s presented as some kind of limited edition , but underneath that branding you’re getting a ronda quartz calliber , a 316 ss case , ugly hands which doesn't seems appealing wrt dial and what looks like very basic case finishing.

At ₹1.6 lakh, I would expect something substantially more compelling in terms of movement, finishing, craftsmanship, or horological value. The fact that you can find watches with essentially the same basic specifications for ₹10k or considerably less makes the pricing feel hard to justify. (don't say the ticket cost 1 lakh n more😭)

Am I missing something about JWC?

Would love to hear from someone who actually know the brand or have handled one in person.
