Tried Nord Pilates and Wall Pilates after baby, sharing my honest take
Bit of context, used to go to a real pilates studio twice a week and absolutely loved it, but after having my first baby 4 months ago thats just not happening anymore. I miss it so much, the mind body connection thing was honestly part of how I stayed sane in my 20s. Tried two apps to ease back in.
Started with Wall Pilates which is the cheaper/free option. Its fine for what it is, has the 28 day wall pilates challenge, 5 and 7 min sessions, some chair yoga stuff. Honestly tho the workouts dont narrate form which after having a baby and being scared of my own core is kinda essential for me. Also got bombarded with ads during sessions which made it really hard to focus.
Switched to Nord Pilates after a couple of weeks. The thing that won me over is the personalized plan, the quiz at signup actually asked about my fitness level (I said beginner bc postpartum) and built a plan that scaled with me instead of throwing me into challenge mode day 1. The sessions are short, audio AND video guidance so I can follow form properly, no ads interrupting.
6 weeks in, doing 4 sessions a week during baby naps, slowly getting my core back. Nothing replaces a real instructor but for now this is what works
