Micro entity questions

I am an accountant by qualification and just not practicing accountant. Please don’t tell me I need to see a tax professional as my questions are very simple. If you can help great, or TIA that I should see a tax professional.

  1. For Micro entity - which is the cheapest and user friendly software for CT600
  2. I have a BTL company, never bought a property, just have few expenses of valuation fees, solicitor fees and some incidental expense to buy a property for a purchase that never got completed - so I qualify for a dormant account tax filing or trading entity?
  3. Finally. I filed my company house return for first 18 months ending in Aug 2025. For ct600 I got a letter from HMRC to file two returns with one from start date 29 Aug 2024 to 28 Aug 2025 and another for 29 Aug to 31 Aug 2025 (3 days). Do I need to file two returns? Do the dates for tax and company house filing need to align?

CT600 help

My micro entity started on 28 Aug 2024 and I filed a companies house return from 28 Aug 2025 to 31 Aug 2025.

When I now try to file CT600 tax return all softwares only give me option to file return post 1 Sept 2025, so how do I file CT600 for the period 28 Aug 2024 to a year? I have just 3 expenses through your the year for a BTL company - valuation and solicitor fees. I don’t want to pay £500 for filing a return for just 3 expenses.

Company tax return software

Hi - so I am a CA from India, I don’t practice here, work in a Bank. I opened a limited company to buy property but never did anything except incurring some expense for a property purchase that didn’t go through. I filed my accounting return and have also declared to HMRC that no tax is due.

Now I wanted to file HMRC tax return, in my situation with no income and 3-4 transactions, if I mark my company dormant do I still need to file return, presumably yes.

Which is the cheapest most user friendly software to file return?

PIP

If you are on PIP and you resign, do you have to disclose or are you asked by employers if I was ever on PIP?

Also what if you disagree with the decision of PIP? Without going into lot of details, I am doing a role for less than a year, role is not clear, expectations are not clear and the feedback just keeps changing each time. I am confused what to do? I have never been in this situation ever in my life and I feel broken.

Also, I was told about informal PIP, I made a plan, I delivered everything against the plan, yet I am told now there is new feedback which to me is more developmental feedback than improvement like I am not demonstrating strategic thinking.

Is there a way to challenge this PIP given I have achieved my informally agreed milestones?

Please guide.
