Madi Sousa for MATH 1200

Hey y'all, does anyone know Professor Sousa? I can't find anything on rate my professor. If I dropped down from MATH 1300 (Sean McAfee) to 1200, I would have her. The discussion is still Staff, so I won't know who it will be yet.

ECON MAJOR - MATH 1300 :(

I am an incoming freshman, and I made a huge mistake registering for MATH 1300 as an econ major. I had no clue that most econ majors took MATH 1200, and the only reason why I registered for MATH 1300 is that my pre-major advisor said that MATH 1300 is recommended if I want to conduct econ research. Well, I did not know that it was quantitative-based, and I have no interest in studying any sort of CS.

The problem is that I intend to pursue a pre-law track and would need to keep my GPA up for that. I could very well graduate with MATH 1200/1201, but I fear it is a bit too late to register for that since I would need to drop one of my classes, and the discussion section doesn't line up with my schedule. I am quite worried about the difficulty. As I was browsing Reddit, I've heard how insanely difficult MATH 1300/1301 was compared to 1200. I'm trying to preserve my GPA as much as possible... Any advice? Please and thank you sooo much guys!

AP Free Score Send

Hey, I want to use my free score to send to Vanderbilt because I'll be attending in the fall, duh! The only problem is that I definitely did not do well on Calculus. Say hypothetically I get a 1-3, is it still worth sending all of them? It won't look bad right?

First Year Economics Major Classes

Hi all! I'll be a first-year student at Vanderbilt next year, hoping to major in Econ and HOD. I would love suggestions as to which professors to choose for CORE 1010 and 1020, ECON 1010, 1020, and 1500 or 1510. If you have any suggestions at all, what to take, what to avoid, that would be soooo helpful!

I also plan on going on a pre-law track, so any tips for that would be great too! Just trying not to mess up course registration and have a rough year.

As I'm filling out the housing application, should I be purchasing renters' insurance? I've seen some suggest lemonade, but is all this necessary? What did you do? Thanks in advance.
