Failed to get purple ends

Today I bleached and dyed my hair first time in my life and I wanted to have purple hair but I failed :(( , should I have bleached it more or maybe the semipermanent dye wasn’t that good? (Also after applying the dye I washed my hair, idk if that’s bad)
