Was forced by Lufthansa at JFK - I never do this but wondering if anyone travelled with Harddrives in checked luggage and if they turned up ok?

I have an incoming tenant who works for the UN who said she could not open a US account - she asked if she can pay with Wise. She has a Wise account . I don't . She says she will send it to my bank account and it will not cost me anything (fees) . Do you have experience with this? I don't trust fintech.

Has been going on since 11 am near Mc Carren park. Anyone else?
