I just started to apply for a job and I’m currently on my first 1 yr opt. The thing is what should I check for job application when they ask ‘Will u require a sponsorship now or in the future’? I don’t need a sponsorship and my goal is just working for 3 yrs and go back to home. But some company might consider stem opt paperwork as a sponsorship and they just don’t wanna help. So I’m wondering what did u guys check when u guys applied for your jobs with first opt.

I’m recently graduated international student but I don’t need a sponsorship rn cuz I’m planning to work only for 1-3 yrs. But so many friends of mine told me that I need to apply for every jobs related my major in every states. But I thought there is gonna be less chance to get a job if I’m living too far from the work location even if I tell them I can relocate immediately. Is applying for jobs in every states from the beginning worth it? Or should I focus jobs near me first.

I applied on March 23, got done biometrics on May 21. My program completion date was May 14 and my opt start date is July 10. My friend got her card after 3 months so Ig I just have to wait more. I rlly wanted to get the card before my opt start date cuz I’ll be moving out on July 20. How long did it take for u guys?

I recently graduated and ab to apply for a job.
My opt start date is July 10 and I might be kicked out in early October. The thing is how r u guys dealing with loneliness cuz I’m dying. It’s not about jobs cuz I don’t mind going back but I always wanted to work here for like 1-2 yrs after I graduated. But these days I’m so lonely and anxious so I just wanna go back even though I know I’m gonna regret a lot. The main problem is I’m just living by myself now. It’s been 4-5 yrs since I came to the US and I’ve been living w my friends so I was good. But after I moved in to a new place and my friends went home for their break so I feel like I’m alone. I can’t do anything even eat all day but whenever I call or text my friends or family I get better for a few hrs. How r u guys dealing w this or any experience that u actually overcame?

My bf got accepted so he’s leaving in 2 days. We’ve been dating for only 4 months but we used to go to same school so we saw each other every single day. I just graduated from grad school looking for a job and he’s leaving soon. I rlly rlly like him some ppl say it’s funny but I think I love him and don’t let him go. The thing is he thinks things very logically so he wants to break up w me because of uncertainty of the future and he feels bad for me. But I feel like we should give it a try at least if the reason is not we don’t like each other anymore cuz I don’t need any other guy I need him. So I’m devastated rn and I can’t even eat or live life normally. He said he’s gonna check up on me and send some letters even if we break up but long distance is not gonna work. Idk I feel like I’ll never meet a guy like him he liked me every insecure part of me and very loyal. Has anyone ever done a long distance relationship? Or went through breakup because of the school

I recently graduated with my Master’s in pharmaceutical company and I have Ba degrees in chemistry too. I finished both undergrad and grad in the US and I’m waiting for my EAD card and my opt start date is July 10. So I have 90 more days from July 10 but I’m so anxious cuz all I heard is the job market is hell. I don’t need sponsorship for the next 3 yrs and I mentioned that everytime I apply. And I don’t want like a crazy pay even under 20 per hr is also fine and I don’t care ab industry too as long as the position is lab tech or sth. So far, I only got 2 screening calls and that’s it😭 So I’m thinking applying for PhD in chemistry but I don’t have any experience in research so that’s kinda unrealistic or I’m also thinking to do my second master’s in forensic science since my minor was forensic science in undergrad. I’m so lost and anxious any hopeful experience like getting a job in 3 months? Or Should I apply for PhD or another Master’s too?

I have a chem degree and master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry but I don’t have any experience in research (GPA: 3.64&3.6). I chose to do internship instead of capstone for undergrad and I did non thesis master’s. I applied to 5 different schools for few yrs ago and 3 of them was research based but I just looked every professors and their research and wrote SOP so got in but ig it’s gonna be way harder to get in PhD. Would it be hard to get into a PhD for me?😭 and do every stem PhD students get paid?
