approved rd nov 2025, wac, f1 to h4 cos, no ead, rfe, full timeline

Hello, I did not receive the official notice yet but case status shows approved:

started opt (not stem) in june-2025. got laid off =( applied for h4 right away.

RD: Nov 12 2025

RFE July 28 2026: they asked if i was maintaining f1 at the time of application-I provided an employer letter, W2, paystubs. reasonable request-lawyer should have thought this.

RFE response received: Aug 12

Approved: Aug 17

It was painful to wait and to lose driver's license in a suburbian town. I really hope everyone get their papers approved easily and nicely.

suppose is about to get i-140, will apply ead asap.

h4 cos waiting nov 12

Hi. I applied before my OPT status ended for h4 cos and successfully completed my OPT. My grace period is almost over (the 2 months). Even though I filed Form I-539 on time, it is getting o my nerves.

If the USCIS processing time of 8.5 months passes (their estimation), I am in between if it is worth to stay here and wait, or to return to my home country and complete the process there? really annoying=(

f1 to h4 cos WAC269 question regarding timeline

hi. I am aware every case is unique yet how cases whose receipt date is way later than me gets approval and I still wait in line,

my question is: do uscis really follow the cases based on the case number or receipt date? or is it more random? or what other categories they might have in mind?
