I don't know the main cause but I wore them for work on the field. There were big machineries and mud. I believe it to be grease from the construction materials. I tried detergent, they only cleaned partially.

Any tips on how to clean it, and please provide two methods:

1. With what is readily available in most households.

2. Any product I would have to buy

Though if the product turns out to be quite expensive I would just skip it and use it as a work boot from now onwards as the shoe itself is pretty cheap and not worth spending too much on it.

Found this a few years back and put it away for some time. I think it's time to finally check it out if it's still any good.

It's a Panasonic NV-GS120GC model.

My problem starts with the fact that there is no battery and charging is done only charging the battery itself directly and not the camcorder.

So, fellas out there, is there a way to (even in the slightest chance) bypass the need of a battery to power it up even for a split second to see its condition. I don't want to waste money on it for it to turn out to be e-waste.
