MIK restaurant in Casablanca (underwhelming)

I kept seeing MIK all over TikTok and hearing so many good things about it, so I was actually really excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, my experience was just… really disappointing 😭
I tried the tteokbokki first and it was basically just spicy. Like, there was heat but almost no actual flavour?? It was bland except for the spice.
The kimbap was alright. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. Probably the most average thing I had.
Then there was the mandu… SO bad 😭 It genuinely tasted like some weird low-quality meat wrapped in dough. I couldn’t finish it.
The two absolute WORST things were the corndog and the chicken ramyeon.
The corndog basically tasted like fried, bland dough with the tiniest amount of cheese inside. I was expecting way more cheese and flavour, but it was just… dough 💀
And the chicken ramyeon??? It tasted like undercooked noodles sitting in hot water. There was barely any flavour to it at all.
The only thing I genuinely liked was the tiramisu, but even that was 60dh, which felt pretty overpriced for what it was.
Maybe I just went on a bad day or ordered the wrong things, because I know a lot of people genuinely love MIK, but after seeing so many TikToks hyping it up, I expected WAY more. The whole meal was just really underwhelming for me 😭
Has anyone else had a similar experience or did I just order all the wrong things?

[16F] Looking to make some friends in Casablanca :)

Hey everyone! I’ve been wanting to meet some new people and make friends in Casablanca, so I thought I’d give this a shot :)
I’m into music, movies/series, art, random late-night conversations, and just talking about literally anything interesting. I’m also into cafés, hanging out, and just having a good time with people I’m comfortable with.
I’m looking for people around my age to talk to and hopefully become actual friends with. I’m a little shy at first, wlkn once I’m comfortable I can talk for hours 😭 I speak Darija, French and English, so any of those works.
Honestly ghir bghit ntearf ela nas jdad f Casa and hopefullyh find people with similar interests. If you’re also looking for new friends, feel free to comment or message me :)

Does anyone know anything about this old mortar and pestle(Mhraz) from Morocco?

This mehraz has been in my family for around 100 years. I’m curious about how old it actually looks and what you think it could be worth today. I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone familiar with old Moroccan pieces. Photos attached.

i feel like im wasting my summer, how can i enjoy it more?

im 16F and i feel like im missing out on my teenage years. i spend most of my time at home with my mom, and we dont really get along, so being at home all day gets exhausting.

i have one friend from school, but because of her parents being strict, we've only been able to see each other twice this summer. my mom is also strict, although she only recently started letting me go out by myself.

the problem is that i dont really have anyone else to hang out with, and im pretty shy and socially anxious, so making new friends is really difficult for me. ive basically spent the whole summer at home watching other people my age go out, hang out and have fun, and it makes me feel like im wasting my summer.for anyone who's been in a similar situation, how did you deal with it? how did you make friends or find things to do? id also love to hear your experiences :)
