Chinese Restaurant 华穆饭店 in Tangier

I tried this Chinese restaurant earlier this year in Tangier and it was the worst 💀. It was my first time trying Chinese food so I was pretty excited abt it but it didn’t meet my expectations, even tho it has high ratings on google.

I didn’t know what to order so these plates were recommended by the waiter (Moroccan), and I actually wanted to order seafood but they were out of it.

I only ate a little (thought it was rude not to eat at all) and brought the rest home with me. I ended up throwing it cuz my brother didn’t like it too.

The only thing that was okay is the juice, tho my brother found it sour and didn’t like it. I personally found it sweet 😶.

P.S: the chefs are Chinese so I guess it’s authentic.

MIK restaurant in Casablanca (underwhelming)

I kept seeing MIK all over TikTok and hearing so many good things about it, so I was actually really excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, my experience was just… really disappointing 😭
I tried the tteokbokki first and it was basically just spicy. Like, there was heat but almost no actual flavour?? It was bland except for the spice.
The kimbap was alright. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. Probably the most average thing I had.
Then there was the mandu… SO bad 😭 It genuinely tasted like some weird low-quality meat wrapped in dough. I couldn’t finish it.
The two absolute WORST things were the corndog and the chicken ramyeon.
The corndog basically tasted like fried, bland dough with the tiniest amount of cheese inside. I was expecting way more cheese and flavour, but it was just… dough 💀
And the chicken ramyeon??? It tasted like undercooked noodles sitting in hot water. There was barely any flavour to it at all.
The only thing I genuinely liked was the tiramisu, but even that was 60dh, which felt pretty overpriced for what it was.
Maybe I just went on a bad day or ordered the wrong things, because I know a lot of people genuinely love MIK, but after seeing so many TikToks hyping it up, I expected WAY more. The whole meal was just really underwhelming for me 😭
Has anyone else had a similar experience or did I just order all the wrong things?
