Best midi host/hub/interface for my DAWless setup?
I’ve been trying to build a DAWless setup similar to taetro’s portable setup . I am trying to make my ableton move the master clock that feeds the tempo to the zoom L6 mixer (for delay effects) and the sp404mk2, all while being able to control the ableton move with my akai midi controller. Whats the best midi hub? and which are the best connection cables considering the type of cables I’ll need? (USB c vs. 3.5mm trs vs. USB a vs. 5 pin)
As for audio flow, I want to feed the ableton move and the seperate sound module of the Akai mpk play mini into the L6 mixer along with other instruments, then use the aux send channel(s) to feed to the sp404 for live sampling, effects, misc sounds and samples to then feed back into the mixer to a front of house mixer. What problems could I run into trying this audio flow?
Any and all feedback is appreciated as someone who had strictly used laptop and DAW for almost everything I’ve made for the past 7 years.
