i got accepted into a school ( RWU) that’s my safety. I submitted my june scores that’s why i’m hearing from schools now. I didn’t think i would hear back from the first school that fast ( about a week after score submission). i’m still waiting on the other schools but this school wants their seat deposit paid by the 9th. I even asked for an extension but they rejected it. My top school is still reviewing my file and idk what to do.
I am a 22F au pairing for an italian family. The child is 12 years old. I am contracted to be here for two months and so far I’m a month in. At first, it was fine. My jobs are too take her to school in the morning, pick her up, feed her lunch twice a week before her sport practice, and try to hang out with her. My problem is the fact that she’s mean and she’s rude. I noticed the way she treats her parents and it’s bad and they enable it. She yells at them, she screams at them, I may not understand what she’s saying or what they are saying to her, but from what I can see is that they allow this behavior. Me and her have been at odd with each other for the past two weeks or so I’d say. I don’t know how it started because the girl refuses to speak to me unless she has to and I try to talk to the parents and they don’t know how it started either. We try to chop it up to her being a teenager and you know having hormones or whatever. But recently it’s gotten bad because the Dad brought desserts one time and he asked me first if I wanted it and I told him no I just wanted to take a picture of it and I went to open the desserts and she got mad because I was opening it wrong and I told her no it’s all right i got it and she went crazy! It seems that everything I do she doesn’t like, and she snitches to her parents. Today I was 15 minutes late, which is my fault. I got the time mixed up, but this was the first time I was late ever. I pick her up and she’s on the curb crying to her mom who’s out of town and she doesn’t say a word to me when she gets in the car. So we are in the driveway and I asked her if she wants a snack before practice and she mumbles and doesn’t answer and I have to ask her again and she’s rude and she basically has an attitude and says no. I wait for her in the garage to go in the house and she slammed the car door and goes to the front door and immediately when I come upstairs I hear her screaming to her dad and I hear my name being called and at this point, I’m just so fed up because they allow this behavior and I can’t do anything about it. I spoke to the au pair that they had about this and she said she went through something similar, but she said to just back off and let the girl be but how can i do that when she gives me awful treatment?
