My friend and I got MPC's sometime ago and we have both been making quite a lot of music on them. My friend uses stem separation to take out the drums or extract a melody of some sort, but ive never actually done that. I don't think its wrong, it has become a fundamental tool for a lot of artists, but I use filters and other plugins instead when i need to achieve a similar outcome. To me it kinda feels like digging through a vinyl to find good parts to sample rather than taking a snippet and feeding it into an ai feels more musical. I'm still pretty new to music, so I might be tripping.

I am brand new to MPC’s and their workflow, and I’m wondering if there are any really in-depth tutorials regarding the MPC Live 1? I have done a little digging and some on YouTube looked promising but incomplete. Is a paid course even worth considering? Maybe I am overthinking it.
