There’s a reason why it’s called MIDI PRODUCTION CENTER… it’s not just for sampling
Made the MPC 2000 the CENTER of my entire studio. It sequences all of my hardware synths and drum machines.

Hi MPC Community.
Sorry for the obvious question but what make the MPC Live 3 different from the MPC one+?
I mean is the workflow really different since this is the same software? So are the buttons make the real deal?
Thx for sharing experiences.

I’m thinking about getting an mpc. I’ve never had any experience with one so what would y'all recommend. What do y'all think would be best for a beginner?
So I been dreaming about the XL and already have the Two best mpc’s live 3 and the sample what do yall think comment below ⬇️
Just started this one and already love it. Now I gotta figure out how to get into this sequence with a build up.
You can get them all from this page here with no sign up, no ads or newsletter nonsense. Just scroll down a little bit until you see all the packs.
12 packs added for Mar/Apr including music loops, Sound effects and live recordings.Packs including Footsteps On Moon SFX,Space Tension Beds ,Live rapping from my friend Ronon which can be clipped and my personal favourite is Serbian Orthodox Choirs which I had the luxury of recording in a beautiful Orrthodox church while in Montenegro. Hope they can be useful in your future projects
With Squarespace it does ask for a lot of personal information so you can use this site to make up fake address and just use a fake name and email if you're not comfortable with providing this info. I don't use it for anything but for your own piece of mind this is probably beneficial.
Feel free to use anything you like, everything is CC0, so no need to credit me or the site. Just grab what you need and make cool stuff. I'd love to see what you create if you feel like sharing!
If you'd like to see what other people have said about the samples you can see here in a recent post I made in a different subreddit.
Join me at r/musicsamplespacks if you would like as that is where I will be posting all future packs and little behind the scenes videos. If you guys know of any other subreddits that might benefit from these sounds feel free to repost it there.

Hey y'all, got my MPC One G2 today and it seems like I have some pretty bad luck. Included in the box was a unit with 2 cables, neither of which seem to be the proper power supply for this unit. I would love to go get a generic one and get to playing on this thing, but obviously don't want to void my warranty or damage the unit. Can anyone explain if I need to buy a special attachment for this that I might have missed? Thanks!
I'm not sure if this glitch is caused by the 3.9 update or not because I've only tried to make a couple of beats since upgrading, but let me know if you've ever heard of this....
When I start a new project and load a sample on to the pad, the sample plays at a nearly inaudible volume.
If I go to the sample edit screen or I'm auditioning samples in the browser all my samples play at their full volume, but as soon as assign it to a pad and try to trigger it, it's barely making the meters move.
I've tried using full level and turning both the pad volume and track volume all the way up, but I'm hardly getting output.
Has anyone else run into this?
Hi all,
My dilemma, I’m a total noob to MPCs and music making as a whole.
What would be the best go to out of the 2 mentioned in the title?
TIA!
If you could only pick ONE Akai MPC to own and use for the rest of your life, which model are you going with?
Any era counts—old school classics, mid-era standalones, or the newer touchscreen units.
What makes your pick the one you’d stick with? Is it the workflow, the sound, the pads, the swing, or just straight-up nostalgia?
Curious to see what MPC people would actually commit to if they had to choose just one machine forever.
I'm teenager who loves writing, and I've started writing my own songs. I genuinely want to pursue music seriously and eventually release my own albums.
To get started, I reached out to a few local composers in my city. Most of them are students who treat composing as a hobby rather than a profession, and unfortunately, the experience wasn't very helpful. That made me realize I'd rather learn music composition myself so I can bring my own ideas to life.
I've searched online for resources, but I keep finding scattered information and don't know where to start. So I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.
How can I learn music composition from scratch? I'm looking for a structured path if possible. Since I'm still a student, I'd really appreciate free or budget-friendly resources, whether they're books, YouTube channels, courses, websites, or anything else you think is worth checking out.
Thanks in advance—I really appreciate any advice!
is there any way to do 808 slides? without requiring cringe workarounds

got this MPC 2000 for dirt cheap earlier this week and am pretty stoked on it ; it didn’t come with anything at all thought , just the standalone unit . I bought a power cord off of MPCstuff for it but I really don’t know much about how to use this thing , just the history of it .
what are some good beginner tips ? I’m going to read the user manual when I get this up and running but any upgrades / cool tricks when using one of these ? Appreciate any and all advice !
