NTS-1 on Windows 11

Hey guys,

Hoping to finally figure this out, on my second NTS-1, could never get the first one to connect to my laptop so swapped it out. Have the new one connected to my PC currently, have read on Windows 11 the Korg midi driver is no longer required but despite the NTS-1 showing up in device manager in the midi devices, trying to update it always gives me the device not connected message.

Thought not needing the driver would make this easier but it's the same issues as when I needed the driver.

Any help or insight would be most welcome, about to give up on Korg if I can't get this or my NTS-3 to update/utilize it's customization.

Thanks in advance.

Serato and MCX8000

Hey guys, hoping for some help. I haven't dj'd in about 10 years. Had a crazy opportunity to purchase a factory new MCX8000 which was what I had way back then. Just got it in the mail and to my shock it was exactly as advertised. Anyways, got Serato Pro installed and the driver installed., can load tracks off my USB plugged into my computer, but I can't seem to get usb's plugged into the controller to be recognized it seems. Feel like I'm missing something obvious because I absolutely used to tote this thing to gigs and people would hot swap in and out with it using serato.

Any ideas?

MPC Sample vs Move

So, just pulled the trigger on the MPC Sample. It's my first MPC and the good word of mouth kinda sold me. I'm trying to transition from working in the box to a more hardware based setup. I've mostly done dnb and other electronic genres that I couldn't really tell ya where it fit. Just like writing when inspiration used to catch me.

Currently have Deluge I just did the OLED upgrade on as my theoretical canter of things. There's definitely pro's and con's to it but the community firmware and better screen I think will make it into a more usable tool.

Also have some various smaller bits of kit, KORG Monotron Delay, Monotron Duo, NTS-1, NTS-3,and a Behringer Pro VS Mini. I know they aren't terribly fancy pieces of gear but they are small and easily approachable so they are currently a stopgap while I acquire the rest of the main pieces of gear I feel would open up my ability to produce outside the box. The MPC Sample arrives this week. Oh, forgot, also have an IPad Pro with various vst's and production software I'm looking to add into my setup. Need to figure out the best way to interface between a USB-C/headphone jack and my current mixer.

Still need a strong hardware synth to mix with my current gear is the last big thing I "need" (for now™) and I have my eye on a few contenders.

To get to my actual question indicated in the title though was that I realized when I had my Push 2 I never payed attention to the Move. Now I'm regretting that because I feel it may be a better choice than the sample and also give me more flexibility and have some features I really wanted that I hadn't even realized. I loved my Push 2 and know how the Ableton people make very approachable and appealing kit. Just things like the super obvious playhead on the sequencer buttons I really appreciate.

So, does anyone have any experience with 1 or both of these devices? Sample input welcome so I know what I'm getting into but really interested in first hand Move info.

Thanks anyone if you to here!

How Useless is Xcel's Outage Reporting feature?

Power goes out at 1:30 when I'm in the bathroom... Go to check the outage map and get a survey popup to tell how happy I am with the website. Go to report the outage at my apartment complex and the websites reporting feature is down. So they claim they have power outages that only affects 2 people in my area.

Glad they are raising prices and lowering customer service just like every other buisness. It's sad how all these companies and maximizing their profits but putting none of it into paying employees or improving their services. It all goes into the shareholder pockets.

11 Pro to Diet 11 Pro S

So, was wondering if anyone had taken the new 11 Pro S back case and put it on the original 11 Pro? I am assuming you can order replacement parts? Google's search AI claims they are identical internally but I couldn't find any confirmed examples of someone doing it but I could have easily missed it if someone had. Thanks!

Whats flair? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤬
