Well, I guess the whole city is full of stupid people. ANOTHER coworker of mine came home to this, caused by his neighbors.

Where to buy rubber boots

Anyone got an idea for a store where I could find some simple, cheap rubber boots? I tried Walmart but they only have steel toed rubber boots. Bass Pro Shops only had expensive fancy boots.

If you’re setting off fireworks right now

Go fuck yourself. You’re an ignorant piece of shit and I hope you blow yourself up. Fuck you.

I'm guessing Zero tickets for Aurora tomorrow .

The cops 3 cars have rolled past my neighbor's house and they are lighting mortars. Cops did nothing. It's on my ring cam so If anything catches on fire does it not count as their negligence? So much for their B.S drone enforcement. APD is a sorry joke of a law enforcement agency.

Fireworks

Love hearing fireworks when the state is in a stage 3 drought and most of it’s on fire and we just had three tragic deaths of wildland firefighters. If you want to respect and honor our country, don’t be a fucking idiot and set off explosives. Genuinely sickens me. End rant.

Before you buy those fireworks:

These are my wife's photographs of the 2016 Table Rock fire in Boise. This fire was caused by ONE single person being irresponsible with fireworks-- and that summer was less windy and less dry in Boise than this one is here.

This fire was able to be contained with minimal loss of property and no loss of life but... do we really want to risk something like this in a drier, windier, flatter, and more densely populated area than that? And especially just a few years after the Marshall fire?

Just some food for thought. Freedom also includes the freedom to not have your house burnt down by someone else's questionable at best decisions.

Edited because autocorrect got me

Anyone BBQ-ing around Mississippi & Moline and wouldn't mind an extra guest for a little bit?

Hey, all! I've lived in this neighborhood for about a decade and I feel like I don't really know very many people, and I think that should change! Looking to meet some new people in my neighborhood and hang out for an hour or so. Headed up to Aspen early tomorrow morning for a little fly fishing excursion, but wouldn't mind doing a little 4th of July stuff tonight for a little bit. Anyone down?

Fireworks viewing along E. Mississippi Ave

Hi all! My family lives near Mississippi and 225. Closer to Peoria vs Sable. Would my family just be able to walk out and see the show or am I too far south? I grew up near the aurora hills golf course and it was crazy viewing from there but moved out the area for a number of years and now we're back. TIA!

Veterinary practices that are privately owned, no corporate.

Hi, are there any veterinary practices left in the area that hasn’t been bought out by private equity firms or corporations? I have searched high and low and cannot find one. Hoping there’s a unicorn.

I used this map as cross reference private equity vet listings

Is it ever a good thing if a practice is bought out? I am trying to see the benefit.
