Can I get the RedMagic 11 Pro and use a US T-Mobile SIM card with it?

Hope this post is allowed

I have/had a Google Pixel 8a. Today it just died out of nowhere. It's still 'functioning' but it doesn't work, the screen doesn't turn on, it flickers and every now and then all I see are tiny pixels here and there. Safe to say the phone is kaput. So I'm looking into other options.

My problem is that I'm not in the states right now, I'm overseas in Germany. I don't want to spend $900+ just to find out it's not compatible with US carrier services.

Everything I looked up to include various AI sources (i know i know, but sometimes it helps) says it that it *should* work, but I just wanna double check.

Best case for the phone?

Hello, new redmagic 11 pro user here. I bought a case separate for the phone, but the case has a flimsy piece of plastic around the game mode bar, and has unclear, scratchy back. Are there any full clear cases that don't have this issue and make it look at least similar to the phone without the case?

GENUINE QUESTION

I was trying to sell my Redmagic Nova gaming device on eBay, but it got flagged and they’re saying it violates their “Electronic Equipment Policy.”

Seriously… what even is this? I’m in the U.S. and it’s just a normal listing.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any tips on how to list it without getting it removed again?

9s pro Bottom speaker

Hello I need some help with my 9s pro, the bottom loud speaker is not working, is it possible that the module itself is faulty?

my phone sometimes makes a strong single “tap” or vibration-like pulse from the bottom speaker area, but there is no sound at all. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions

Chisa is back in Wuthering Waves today, and the REDMAGIC collab phone suddenly feels more relevant again

With Chisa coming back in Wuthering Waves, I feel like the REDMAGIC 11 Pro+ Chisa Edition makes more sense now than it did at launch.

Not because everyone suddenly needs a gaming phone.

More because character collab tech is weirdly timing-based.

When the character is active in-game again, the phone stops feeling like “old limited merch” and starts feeling like part of the current hype cycle again.

The Chisa Edition is still not the most normal phone purchase. It is a China-market limited edition, so people should still think about carrier compatibility, ROM differences, Google/app behavior, shipping, and import costs.

But as a Chisa item, I think it is one of the stronger collab products because it is not just a tiny logo on the back. The red design, Wuthering Waves theme, packaging, and gaming-phone hardware all feel connected.

For me, this is the kind of item that makes the most sense if you are:

  • pulling for Chisa
  • already using REDMAGIC / gaming phones
  • looking for a second gaming device
  • collecting Wuthering Waves merch
  • the kind of person who wants tech to feel like character merch, not just hardware

I would not call it the safest phone.

But if you like Chisa, I get why this specific version is tempting.

Question for WuWa players:

Would you rather spend on pulls, merch, or a limited collab device like this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the older 10 and 9 redmagic phones supports 71 and 77, but the 11 does not?

I was just checking kimovil and gsmarena. Both reporting something similar. The 11 series is missing several crucial lte and 5g bands, versus their older counterparts. Am I wrong or is the community network map on the subreddit correct?

Daily drive

Im thinking to get RM 11 Air in a month, and im genuinely curious how is it outside of gaming?

• I dont play games, but smtimes rarely so Idc abt gaming review bcuz ik it handles it really well

• Idc abt cameras

But i wanna know, for a casual phone user, how good is it?

Is the display bright, clear and white?

How dark can it be inthe night, comfortable for the eyes when watching in bed? ( i keep my current phone at lowest brightness. )

Is it overall smooth and no small tweaks when opening apps / apps from notifications or other things?

Are there network problems? ( Ive seen sm people complain abt it )

And i would love to hear ur review by giving an overall raiting for the phone by daily driving!

The 11s Pro cooling is so much better makes the 11 pro Look fanless.

on one of the most demanding games to run cyberpunk 19.1w and it holds steady 72c 73c without EXTERNAL COOLER the temp doesn't increase. the same PWR running on normal red magic 11 pro is 105c cpu and 50c+ on battery and after 10 min the phone overheats..

i feel like the 11 pro was a beta testing..

so this is massive improvement

the fan and the liquid cooler this time it works and They Do Something

Cyberpunk 2077 (v2.31) played with GameHub 6.0.4 + FrameGen on: RedMagic 11 Pro!

⚠️ As always, the game runs a bit smoother when you're not recording video at the same time 😅
⚠️ For the purposes of this video, I recorded the game at 1280x720 and capped it at 30fps (which becomes 60fps with the framegen). Otherwise, the video quality is significantly degraded. The video was recorded after more than 20 minutes of gameplay! (The entire intro in the desert).
⚠️ But if you want smoother gameplay and higher FPS, you can set the game to 960x540, which still looks great on the phone screen (but of course, not as a video on a computer screen). And of course if you have a cooler, set the Phone in "Rise Mode" to gain more FPS! That way, you can get a solid, nearly constant 60 fps, even in the city!
⚠️ The game is set to “low” mode, with a few minor adjustments based on personal preference (no “motion blur,” “chromatic aberration,” or “film grain,” for example)

📱 RedMagic 11 Pro in Balanced Mode and without cooler, only the integrated fan.

Based on the Steam version of the game.

⚠️ GameHub 6.0.4 used! + Preset: Extreme+TSO , + Frame Generation (Balanced) + Super Resolution (100%).
🖥️ GameHub 6.0.4 Configuration available on EmuReady.
📺 Full YouTube Video available.
🖼️ Screenshots available.

🎮 Played with joypad Xbox360 controller with USBc adapter. (And that's why you don't see any "Virtual Controller" on video. And man, I'm so bad at FPS games with a controller 😅)

Redmagic 11 air Vs OnePlus 15

I want to know if it's okay to go ahead with redmagic 11 air since 11 pro is out of stock. My only other option is OnePlus 15? Is 11 air a downgrade compared to OnePlus 15?

Edit : I bought the 11 air

Should i get a red magic 11 pro for long term

I went with the Xiaomi 17 pro thinking its a good balance for gaming and all, but it honestly struggles with switch emulation for some reasons, couldn't even get a solid 27 fps with botw

I couldn't give a single care about camera or getting clowned — or when a girl asks for my number (never happens) and i pull out my red magic 11 pro 5g snapdragon elite gen 5— as long as the phone can call and take normal pictures of notes or something i just dont care about camera, i mainly care about the screen quality and performance, i still have my Xiaomi 14 for pictures anyways

However i was wondering if its a good phone long term? Will it have no complaints in for exemple 4 years or so? How about the battery, i know one plus has a really good battery and is kind of a gaming phone hybrid

My Galaxy S24 exploded in my hand during normal use (not charging)

This happened in South Korea on May 11, 2026.

My Galaxy S24 suddenly emitted smoke, extreme heat, and exploded in my hand while I was using it normally to search the internet.

Important details:

The phone was NOT charging

No drop damage

Never repaired or opened

Fire department responded

Signs consistent with lithium battery ignition were identified on site

I am currently receiving medical treatment for smoke inhalation symptoms and anxiety/insomnia after the incident

Samsung told me they would collect the device for internal investigation, but I have not received further explanation yet.

Photos, medical records, and incident evidence have been preserved.

For privacy and safety reasons, I would prefer to remain anonymous publicly.

If media outlets are interested, I am willing to provide additional photos and videos.

UPDATE1: 26.5.13

Thank you for all the concern, advice, and support.

This incident did actually happen, and many of my coworkers witnessed it as well. I also have video footage related to the incident, and I have already informed outlets such as BBC and CNN that I am willing to provide additional evidence if requested.

At the moment, I have not been contacted by any Korean media outlets.

I was actively using the phone in my hand for normal web searching when it suddenly began swelling very rapidly before exploding. Thankfully, the lower part of the phone split open during the incident, which likely reduced the severity of the injuries. I only suffered minor burn blisters instead of more serious physical harm.

(Additional Information) The device was purchased as an official unlocked Galaxy S24 through Samsung Partners in South Korea on June 11, 2024, and was received and activated on June 12, 2024. Since then, it had been used normally without any repairs, modifications, or internal opening.

I originally switched from Apple iPhones to Samsung years ago, and honestly, this experience — along with the response afterward — has changed the way I feel.

Please stay careful and safe with your devices as well.

I will continue updating this post if there are any major developments or investigation results.

UPDATE2: 26.05.13

I was just contacted by the director of a local Samsung service center. According to what I was told, employees from Samsung headquarters became aware of this Reddit post and instructed the local service center to respond. I am still recording and preserving all communication related to this incident, and if major media outlets request it, I am prepared to provide those records as well. I once again requested direct communication from the appropriate department at Samsung headquarters. To be clear, I have never demanded financial compensation during this process. What I truly want is for Samsung to recognize the seriousness of this incident and respond with transparency and sincerity. Experiencing something like this has honestly changed the way I think about battery fire situations and consumer safety. I hope companies learn to take these incidents seriously before they become larger public safety issues.

I’ve honestly realized how powerful Reddit can be.

Thank you everyone. The support and attention from people here have genuinely helped someone like me feel less alone while dealing with this situation.

If more people become aware of battery safety risks through this post, I think that alone would already mean a lot to me.

And seriously, for everyone reading this on their phones right now — please stay safe and pay attention to unusual heat or warning signs 😅

My Android Rollback (16 to 15) has arrived!

After emailing back and forth with Redmagic Support for 2 weeks, I can finally rollback to Android 15 on my Redmagic 9 Pro.

Issues I had with Android 16 update:

- [bug] battery only charges 10% to 20% in 5-6 hours in Neocharge mode (20W). Charges normally in MaxCharge (45W) and MaxCharge Turbo (80W)

- [bug] in Nubia Launcher (System Launcher) swiping pages doesn't work or swipes 2 or 3 pages at once

- [bug] microphone not working anymore on any app during a call (phone app, whatsapp, discord, 3CX) until app reinstall, maybe a permission issue

- [bug] mobile data would randomly stop working during the day (no service) for 1 or 2 hours at times

- [bug] battery charge drops significantly faster during the day (only 30% left at the end of the day instead of the usual 60~70%)

- [unwanted feature] double pressing the lock button opens the camera and there's no way to change it or turn it off

- [unwanted feature] AI everywhere: call assistant, game assist, writing, translate

I had to provide screenshots and video proof for most of these issues as they need to forward as much info as possible to the developers to fix them.

This downgrade is a complete OS reinstall and will WIPE ALL DATA. It's not possible to recover locally stored app data without root access, and getting root access wipes data as well. I only backed up my apks, photos, videos, music, passwords, whatsapp chats and anything that I can export normally.

Happy to go back

ID verification?

Back in 2025 Gavin Newsom signed for ID verification on electronics like computers on windows and Samsung on their phones. Will redmagic have to comply as well? Edit: I mean to use the phones in the future beginning in 2027.
