In a few days I'll finally be moving up to the Live 3 after glory years with the One and Live II, thanks to an incredible Reverb deal. I am BEYOND stoked
What were the things you noticed most immediately when you did you upgraded to the new gen? I'm most excited for the SPEED and running six thousand synth plug-ins 👹
Seen at Main Drag Music in Brooklyn NYC...I didn't dare look at the price tag . 😍
Hi friends my cat Max the escape artist got out of our place on the cnr fresh pond and grove tonight, if anyone sees him please let me know!
He’s very friendly but probably scared !
Technically it's on me because I knew the "high protein" label was gonna be some bullshit but curiosity and a weekly sale got me but holy cow, this was the WORST. The consistency of eating frozen clay, the mouth feel of sweet toothpaste. And of course it doesn't melt. Right into the trash where it belongs (pictured). PS I take back everything I have ever said about Halo Top.
Forgive a ramble: I've been wanting to upgrade to the MPC Live 3 before it even was announced - the ram and processor limits were starting to be a huge issue for me, as I create large projects that are made of multiple exported projects for use in live performances. I could barely get a 30 minute set running 8 plugins 8 audio tracks without risking a crash. I actually lost projects to this last summer (totally corrupted project file) because I got too ambitious.
Now that the MPC One G2 is here it has me in a philosophical conundrum...I can't really financially justify the Live 3 at this moment, but the One G2 is at the perfect price point...the only thing that has me thinking of waiting is how large a gap it is between 4GB of RAM and 8 (so far nobody is making THAT YouTube video). I know the 4GB will make a big difference and both machines have the same multi core processor, but 8gb is HUGE.
Is it worth waiting? Maybe I get the Blue Kid and use it as a stop gap until I can afford the 3... 🤔

Previously you could mix down your sequence to a single audio track and choose where on your drive you wanted to save it. Now it only mixes it down into the project itself. I can tell by the new icon that this was done for the sake of integrating with MPC Sample but all theyve done is make file management THAT MUCH MORE TEDIOUS to build my live sets. I now have hook up the Live to my PC and go into controller mode to find my mixed down tracks instead of bouncing them to location of my choice.
At least they didn't do this to song mode but how long before they fuck THAT up.
Very annoyed. Am I missing something? And if not...Why take away CHOICE?
On Fresh Pond and Palmetto rn... huge crowd of people and cops, the mentally distubred man everyone knows who paces up and down the street screaming with his mom trailing got cuffed for SOMETHING...serious enough they put him in a car. Don't mean to make light and feel bad for his mom..
