First Green-belt Locks Defeated!

First Green-belt Locks Defeated!

I've been working on this Ace lock for about 4 days now and the little bastard is still kicking my ass. 😂 rage quit on it last night and managed to pick my abus 72/40 and my American lock 1106. I got all excited when I felt the 1106 'half rotate' and showed my wife only to realize it kept rotating. The thing has an odd feeling to the turn. Back to the madness farming on this Ace lock for the day! 🤪

2 more days until I have a challenge again.

I've conquered pretty much everything walmart has to offer. I run this gauntlet 2-3 times a day and the only challenge is one of my masterlocks has become pretty sticky. Have an American lock 1106 and Abus 72/40LOTO coming from Amazon on Wednesday. Just going through the motions until then. 😪 Maybe I'll repin my CI lock tonight. Lol

Give my wife her white belt yall!

My wife has watched me obsess over lock picking over the past week and tolerated my autistic excitement on the subject quite well. Told her this brinks 40mm was so easy she'd be able to rake it open and she opened it immediately, closed it and opened it again, then it bound up a little when I went to record her, but she did it again. I may convert her. 😂

Less than a week, gonna submit for my orange belt. 😎

My first post was complaining about this lock, but I've got the masterlock 575 figured out! (Sorry for the angle). Just about had a lock and pick in my hand with 90% of my free time over the last week. Picked up some more locks from Walmart today and I'll get some green belt locks to work on next! 😄

FNG here!

Hey guys, I've been watching lock picking content for a while now and I finally took the leap and bought myself the FNG kit from covert instruments and recieved it 3 days ago. Well, I'm totally hooked. I conquered the seethrough lock in a matter of a couple of minutes, put some standard pins in the cylinder lock and picked & raked that multiple times in the first hour. So I moved onto some real locks that I had laying around, 3 brinks 40mms and 2 masterlock 575s. The brinks are a joke, I can rake those things open in 2 seconds flat. The masterlocks seem to be finicky bitches. Lol I've single pin picked them and raked them in like 4 seconds but then I go to repeat it and I'll mess with it for 20 minutes and keep getting bound up half way until I get frustrated and go back to another lock. I'm wondering if its just the tools that I have aren't super great for the keyway in this style of lock? Or do I just need to get good? Im planning on ordering the echelon kit to have a better variety of tools once I get paid next week, but this lock has become my nemesis in the meantime. Any tips would be appreciated! 🤘

Edit: Just want to thank yall for being an awesome community! Lots of positivity and no downvotes on a noob post, yall are AWESOME! I've been practicing the jiggle test and opened the masterlock like 5 or so times since posting. I still think the tools I have are suboptimal for this particular lock, but your tips, videos, and gear recommendations are top tier. Thanks guys, looking forward to hanging out in this sub. 💯
