FTB CA Reoccurring Charges??
I'll try to put down all I remember ... here we go ...
- Jan 2026 I do my taxes
- Feb 2026 I file an amended return because I forgot a W-2
- Now I owe the state $42. fine.
Suddenly, every other month the FTB is charging me ... "penalty code C" ... I pay every time on time.
3/20 DEBIT, $145
4/4 DEBIT, $25.03
5/15 CREDIT, $25.26
Sometime a few weeks ago they mail me, saying I'm all caught up !
Fast forward to today, they say I now owe them $129 for "penalty code B"
I have no idea where these charges are coming from and I need help solving this :( (im a newb to taxes)
Please, ask as many questions and I'll get back to you !
(tmrw I will be calling them but ... we know how that goes...)
