Michaels new management roles
So I had to get an assessment to see if I was still qualified for the position I had. Now for 1 year I have been learning things but never trained . I went to another store to get the training for my position and got nothing. For 3 days NO TRAINING!!!!
So fast forward to 3 weeks ago when I asked for training for framing and my other things. New manager said I had to wait till the new framer she was hiring got her training first . Well they never accepted the job due to the pay. So had my assessment done but never should have been with this manager too new and don’t know me or others well however she said in a nut shell 2 other managers gave me a bad review so since I scored low cause of not fully knowing my job they are letting me go effective immediately August 1st. So why can’t they just demote me and let me stay as a part time employee? My location is losing employees left and right due to this new manager to begin with and now I am being forced out . You would think they would keep me knowing that I can still do a lot of things and help get things done. I can so truck, build DA’s side counters , I know how to run register all things these part time employees we have now but are leaving . I have open availability also . I mean we have a lot of resets happening and the holidays coming up wouldn’t it be smart to keep me around?? Anyone else think if they don’t qualify for their position anymore that they should be offered to stay on in another position? Like I really need to stay working . I am helping my parents out financially and there are days where we are struggling just to make ends meet and now this .
