[SPB317] The Way This Thing Hugs the Wrist… Just Chef’s Kiss 🤌

The coin-edge bezel on the SPB317 is seriously underrated.

Not only does it look great, but the grip and tactile click-click-click when you turn it is ridiculously satisfying. It helps keep my fidgeting at bay, and thankfully it's not too loud.

One of those little details that makes you appreciate the watch every time you interact with it.

Any other huge fans of their bezels?

[SPB317] Mesh + Turtle = ♥️

Have accepted that the clasp is terrible on this mesh, but otherwise, I'm loving this combination of mesh and the slim turtle.

Do any of you have mesh clasp recommendations/suggestions? I'm all ears!

[SPB317] 🐢 Mesh Looks So Good… Just Watch Out for This

I bought this mesh bracelet off of AliX, so I wasn't expecting the world (for $35 AUD). I was fine to experiment on a cheaper mesh bracelet than a $200+ mesh bracelet that is most likely made in the same factory with some enhancements.

I had been in touch with someone who had tried on the mesh bracelet that I've previously posted and he said that if you're wrists were smaller than 7" then forget about it. I see exactly what he means now.

The look is exceptional when from top down, however, as shown in the second and third photos, the overlap of bracelet and the actual clasp protrudes A LOT (thicker than the actual dial, 12.3mm), so just beware of this is you are considering going for the same look. The clasp is also not as smooth to open, again, for the money spent, I'm glad I tried.

Am I 100% satisfied? Nope. But am I still going to wear it this way? Absolutely.

I also bought a sailcloth strap from AliX and it is great, but, silly me, I forgot to order the damn strap with the buckle.. but otherwise it is a perfect pairing with the 317, honestly, even if the mesh bracelet was perfect, the slimline-ness of the sailcloth is just made for the 317.

[SPB515] Modern Watch, Vintage Soul

Honestly, that little 🟠 pop on the seconds hand gets me every time. For some reason, I prefer the configuration of the countdown bezel as shown in the photo (rather than the 🔼 at the top.

It’s such a tiny detail, but somehow it makes the whole dial come alive. Probably something most people would never notice - but that's the fun (and beauty) of watches, isn’t it?

The best details aren't for everyone else. They're for the moments when you glance down and think, damn, I really love this watch.

Finally! A non slim turtle post 😜🐢

[SPB317] Why Does Seiko Do This?

Any idea why Seiko discontinues its highly popular watches? Genuinely curious. If it's an infinite money printer for them, then why not continue production?

I know I could Google it, but would love to hear perspectives from those that may genuinely know, as I'm sure many of you have been Seiko enjoyers for a long time.

[SPB317] Comfy As Hell 🐢

Had two friends try on the turtle yesterday and it was so cool seeing how good it looked on someone else's wrist. They commented on how perfect it was. I couldn't agree more.

While the slim turtle may look larger in photos, it really does wear and feel much smaller. Can't wait to get my two different strap options so I can share different photos 🫣

How did you catch on to your love for the turtle? I'm pretty sure I saw a beautiful photo of it online and the obsession started from there 😶‍🌫️

[SPB317] Appreciating Every Second 🔴

Funny how life works.

I went decades without giving watches a second thought. Now I find myself noticing the smallest details and appreciating the craftsmanship that goes into something most people barely glance at (unless you're a watch nerd).

It isn't about telling the time anymore.. it's about enjoying the object itself and the feeling it gives you every time you wear it.

For me, that's been the SPB317, previously the SPB515.

What's the watch that made everything click for you? And has that changed over time?

[SPB317] It's Becoming a Problem... 🐢🐢🐢

I used to think watch people were a little obsessive.

Then I bought the SPB317.

Now I'm standing by the window thinking,

"The way the light hits these brushed surfaces is unbelievable."

I owe every watch enthusiast an apology 😂

Anyone else find themselves charging their lume under a lamp (or phone torch) just to admire it for a minute afterwards? 😂 I can't be the only ridiculous one!

Has any other brand impressed you more than Seiko when it comes to lume? I'd love to see some comparisons (as Seiko is all I have 🙏)

[SPB317] Back in Its Natural Habitat 🐢

I genuinely think the SPB317 is one of Seiko's best modern divers.

It just feels right outdoors - the proportions, the finishing, and the way it catches natural light.

What's your favourite modern Seiko diver and why? Let's see some wrist shots! 📸🐢

[SPB515] The More Light It Gets, the Better It Looks 💎

The combination of polished and brushed surfaces on the 515 just makes it stand out.

Understated, yet refined.

Polished, yet utilitarian.

7 months into owning this beauty and I still catch myself mesmerised by it.

Is there a dial in your collection that you're absolutely entranced by?

[SPB317] Could This Be the Ultimate One-Watch Collection? 🐢

Not my watch in the photo, but this is what I plan for my beloved slim 🐢 to look like (once these mesh bracelets are restocked 🙏).

I think I'd be content if I were to have this as my one and only.

[SPB317] 🐢 Keeping Good Time and Company

Have owned the 🐢 for a week and thankfully, it's been keeping good time.

Before purchasing, I had read all of the reviews and watched all of the YouTube reviews, especially regarding the inaccuracy, however, this didn't deter me one bit. How gorgeous is it!

Truly, this watch is the perfect companion.

Has a watches inaccuracy perturbed you that much to sell it?

[SSC817P] Opinions Please!

I've never appreciated chronographs, however this watch has just caught my attention (my god, it never ends 🫪🫣😭).

Re: the colour and style, some photos/vids online, the "honey-like" colour is more muted, which I can see as being versatile (enough) 😮‍💨🤌

Have only started appreciating watches in the last 12 months, so I'm not sure if this is a phase, and understand that my taste may change over time, but damn, it looks good (to me).

Further, I'm considering selling one of my watches to acquire this bad boi, but am trying not to be too hasty.

Would welcome anyone's wisdom and thoughts 🙏

[SPB317] Crispy 🐢 Bezel Action

Bought the watch for the dial.

Stayed for the bezel.

Pretty sure I've spent more time rotating it than actually timing anything, let alone (desk) diving 😂

What watch in your collection has the most satisfying bezel action? Honestly, it's so cathartic.
