Applications are opening up in July and my application from April got rejected. I wanna see if getting a good reference would increase my chances of getting a position.

I’m about to enter my second year of community college and should be getting my associates degree after the summer of 2027. I plan on transferring to UIUC afterwards. Since I’m majoring in environmental science (assuming I get accepted). Should I go for a BS in integrative biology and a MS in natural resources & environmental sciences?
