Play dates/ friends.

Reddit might not be the best place for this question but hopefully someone has some ideas for us. My wife and I have been struggling a bit to find play dates for our toddler. Our friend group either doesn’t have kids or they are too old to play. We meet families at the park and beach for example but for one reason or another it’s not as steady as we’d like. The parenting Facebook groups we find aren’t as helpful as we’d like either. Do any of you know of good places to find friends besides what I’ve already mentioned? Please don’t say target lol. She can only drag me there so much.

TICKS

The last 5 years worth of ticks has left me a bit depressed. I grew up walking in the woods almost everyday without a worry and now I can’t even walk in my own yard without finding them on us after we come in. I’ve lived here my whole life and the outdoors has always been very important to me. I don’t even want to walk in the woods these days. The threat of Lyme isn’t worth it to me after seeing it in people I know. The solution of course is to use toxic sprays but that’s equally upsetting to me. I envy states that still have a low threat for now. I’m sure that will change. Have any of you had success keeping them away from your yard and off of you?

Spectrum outages

Does anyone know why spectrum has outages every other month now? This last one lasted a whole day. My wife called in the morning and they said it was part of a scheduled maintenance but we received no notification ahead of time. I called for an update and was told a node went out and it wasn’t scheduled. I’m not sure if the stories changed or one of the people we spoke to was misinformed. We’ve had spectrum for years and have never had as many issues as we’ve had this past 6 months.

Future data center projects.

Checking to see if Grand Traverse and surrounding areas are out of the woods so to speak on data center builds? I’ve not heard about any since Kalkaska halted theirs. I hear nothing good about them and want them to stay well away from our beautiful part of the state.

Has anyone had success with loading the mags to their full capacity? The ones that came with the gun simply will not hold all the rounds.
