Pod Farm on Studio UX 2 & other devices recently dropped from support.

OK, so for those of us on Mac we can't expect a legacy device to ever receive drivers that would make these interfaces work on macOS 26 Tahoe or above (I don't know the current state of affairs for Windows users), but in taking down the authorisation servers, we have effectively been locked out of models that required online authorisation too, even if we run legacy .

Would it really be too much to ask for one final build that just unlocked all the models (paid or not, because there's no longer any way to tell which was which) that would check only for the presence of the hardware in order to continue to function?

I don't mind keeping an old computer around to continue using amp models I've been perfectly happy with for the past 20 years or so.

Flying through…

We went to Sicily on holiday, with fears of huge EES queues in mind. On the way into Sicily, we by happy accident were close to the front of the queue. Got through to baggage reclaim before the luggage did, even after having to go through all the picture & fingerprint stuff. There were hundreds of people queueing behind us. I've no idea how many hours it would take them.

On our day of departure, all hell broke loose. Thought we were going to miss the plane, not because of EES, but because the only main road from our hotel at Taormina to the airport was closed due to an accident. All traffic was taking the coast road, through every little town & village - which of course was at an absolute standstill.
Supposed to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the flight, with check-in closing an hour before.

We got to within striking distance of the airport & everything completely locked up again. We eventually got out of the cab & walked in, leaving the driver stuck in it, but with a generous tip to try brighten up his day, and got to check-in with only 50 minutes to go. Turns out, they had a 45-minute lockout, not 1 hour, so we handed our bags over & headed off to see what passport control hell we were about to face.

There were 6 people in front of us. Not 600… 6. We were through in under a minute.

We got to the gate in plenty of time, and even had five mins for a quick pee & to pick up some duty free before boarding.

Success.

To get back to Safari 18 instead of 26

It seems the only way to get back to Safari 18 is to overlay the entire OS again. Can I run the macOS installer from Applications, or do I have to go back through the boot stick method?

I'm on Sequoia 15.7.7 on a Mac Pro 5,1 with Mac-flashed Metal2 capable GPU so I've no issues seeing the screen before login.

Safari 26 - Google Maps issue

Mac Pro 5,1 with Metal2 GPU AMD HD 7950, Mac-flashed. Sequoia 15.7.7 but this has been happening since 15.5.5 when I went to Safari 26.

Yes, I guess it wasn't the smartest idea to let Safari update to v26, but ever since I did (including the new 26.5 today) I can't open Google Maps (or any site that embeds it). At first it shows, but then refreshes a couple of times & just posts a blank page with the error "A problem repeatedly occurred with 'https:www.google.com/maps' " & gives me the option to refresh - which just repeats the same thing.

I've got Develop & Debug both available to me - does anyone know what I could switch off or on to prevent this?

Maps works in Firefox. Orion will not run for me at all since I went from Mojave to Sequoia last year.

Edit:
It seems 26.5 is even worse. It's now reloading Reddit pages after just a couple of screens of scrolling.
Is there any realistic way to get back to Safari 18, without a full OS reinstall?
