Moving to Ypsi for work, looking for apartment recs (1–2 bed, under $1,700) [32F

I (32F) am a medical professional relocating for work and currently deep in the apartment-hunting rabbit hole. Would love any honest recs from people who actually live in Ypsi/A2.

**What I'm looking for:**

- 1 or 2 bed

- In-unit washer/dryer

- Hardwood floors + stainless/chrome appliances

- Budget: under $1,700/month

- A neighborhood that feels safe, especially as a woman living solo

**Nice to haves:**

- Close to a gym (or a complex with a decent fitness center)

-Greenery

- Hiking/walking trails within a short drive

I've been browsing Zillow and Apartments.com but honestly nothing beats local knowledge. If you've had a good experience with a specific complex or property manager, I'd love to hear it. Are there any management companies or landlords I should steer clear of? Unresponsive maintenance, shady lease terms, safety issues, that kind of thing.

Any neighborhood guidance would also be super helpful. I don't know Ypsi well enough yet to know which pockets of town feel most livable.
