Just doing an August overseed in the PNW

I live in the coastal pacific northwest. It is August and 65 degrees. Today when I did the bulk of this work it was actually foggy and misty. I love my summers here haha. I have a 2500sq ft TTTF and PRG lawn. I am having some troubles with thinning and poa annua invasion. We just finished a forestry project on our property to get more sun on our house so I knew it was time to fix the lawn too. I decided to do a comprehensive lawn fix. I scalped the lawn, then dethatched it. I sprayed pre emergent a mix of tenacity and I forget the one that kills poa annua. I then put down barenburg perennial rye grass with yellowjacket tech. Then I added about 4 yards of compost and raked that out on top. Then I added a starter fertilizer and hydetrain. I have noticed that even needing to keep my compost damp I am using less water. Now I just need to wait a month for some results.

Some people wrap the bottom of their cars up with tarp at a trailhead into a park to protect their vehicles from marmot attacks

I even found a marmot, but reddit only will let me post one pic at a time.

My favorite street photos I took of Hong Kong w/ Sony a7iii 35mm Samyang 1.8f

Was in Hong Kong in January. I live in a really small coastal town so it's very exciting for me to visit large cities. I really liked this city. Public transport was great. Food was half the price of what I pay for at home, and the people were decent that I interacted with.

NEM 3.0 for California and PGE is a joke lol

I have an oversized panel system because I live in a very foggy area and i am getting electric vehicles soon. I have a 17kw panel system and 33khw battery. In the winter time is when I really have a hard time charging my battery everyday. Our property uses a lot of power.

It is just hilarious how little NEM 3.0 pays out. I understand why but it's a pretty huge punishment.

I love the funky things in my forest

I live on 9 acres of PNW coastal woodland. I got a mix of redwoods, spruce, grand fir and alder. I love making trails through funky places in the forest

I gave my coworker a break and set up his next case for him. He actually really liked it

I made patterns on 1/4 ply of shapes that I like. Hand drawn with pencil. I cut them on the bandsaw and shape the pattern clean. Then I template them to wood. This time sapele and I use the bandsaw, router table, sander and use a festool domino for joinery on 50mm tenon. I purposefully made the cushion higher for a floating look. The cushion padding i use memory foam pillow that I upcycled. Hide came from a small leather tannery shop in NY.

I had a lot of fun making this. I used Danish oil.

It holds my 220 pound weight with ease. It flexes a little yes but normal use this will hold just about anyone who doesnt abuse it.
