Ajovy Delay Before Vacation – Is 6 Days Too Long?
How many days would you recommend postponing Ajovy before a vacation at most? Mine will be 6 days late. So day 34 instead of 28. Is that bad? This wil be my 4th injection.

Do you have any experience with whether Ajovy is still fully effective if it has been stored at around 12°C for about one to two hours?
There was briefly an issue with my refrigerator and the temperature suddenly went up to around 12°C. The pharmacy told me this should not affect the medication, but I still feel a bit unsure about it, so I was wondering what your experience or advice would be.
Hi, I’m curious about your experiences. I’ve been on Ajovy for 10 weeks and saw a rapid improvement within a few days after the first injection. Before, I had 20–25 migraine days per month, with only 1–2 symptom-free days.
Since then, I’ve consistently been at about 10–12 migraine days and around 12 symptom-free days per month—so the ~50% reduction happened immediately and hasn’t improved further.
Would you recommend giving it more time, or has anyone had better results after switching?
I’ve had chronic migraine since childhood — around 20–25 migraine days per month, with maybe only 2 symptom-free days. I’m now 23 and finally got properly diagnosed and treated this year.
I tried Botox for 6 months. It didn’t reduce the frequency much, but it did reduce the pain by about 30%. My neurologist didn’t think that was enough, so I switched to Ajovy and had to stop Botox.
I’ve now been on Ajovy for 10 weeks, and from the start I’ve been at around 10–13 migraine days per month. I also have about 12 days a month where I actually feel really good, which is completely new for me. The rest are more in-between days. I’m very grateful for the improvement, but it still has a big impact on my daily life.
For acute treatment, I use almotriptan. It works well, but the migraine often comes back once it wears off.
I have an appointment with my neurologist next week and need to decide on the next steps. I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Curious what you would do in my situation:
– continue Ajovy for a few more months to see if it improves further
– combine it again with Botox
– or switch to another CGRP inhibitor
Thank you!!
