So I passed the Lead Auditor exam yesterday with a small margin. The questions were much harder than the sample questions I worked with. The test took me every bit of the 3 hours.

Ordered some material. It was supposed to be delivered today but was Cancelled without Delivery Attempt. No explanation. Maybe the driver got killed in a wreck on the interstate?

A dog with terminal cancer in constant pain gets a “good death” — we call it humane, even loving. A human being in the exact same situation, begging to die, is legally forced to keep suffering in most of the world.

We’ve somehow decided that the standard of compassion we extend to animals is too good for people. How is that not completely backwards? If anything, shouldn’t humans — who can actually articulate their suffering and make informed decisions — have more autonomy over their end of life, not less?

I’m not talking about cases with any ambiguity. I mean terminal patients, fully lucid, in documented agony, who are explicitly asking for relief. Why does a golden retriever get more dignity in death than a person?

Is it purely religious influence on law? A failure of imagination? Or do we just not want to think about it?
