What are your favorite horror audiobooks?

I drive a lot for my work, so I like to listen to audiobooks while I commute. Unfortunately, sometimes the narration is poor and it really affects the experience. Some audio recordings I’ve enjoyed so far are The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, Bird Box by Josh Malerman, The September House by Carissa Orlando, and Devolution by Max Brooks.

I’d love some more recommendations! What are some audiobooks you’ve really enjoyed?

Edit: So many great recommendations! I’m starting with NOS4A2. I love this sub!

I just watched Good Boy last night, and I’m so conflicted about it. On the one hand, it was beautifully shot, had a lot of creepy moments, and Indy was freaking adorable. Probably one of the best animal actors I’ve ever seen, to be honest. But the human actors… kinda sucked? Like, they were so flat and unconvincing as characters, and the only thing I felt for Todd was just annoyance and anger at the way he treated Indy. (Yeah, he was really sick, I don’t care, you don’t treat your dog like that ever.) Maybe that was the point? The human characters were dull and boring on purpose, to focus the viewer’s attention and sympathy on Indy? That’s my best guess. Anyway, I enjoyed it. But I suppose I was expecting more.
