Crazy MFS first picking Mentak all the time?
What's with all the people rushing to grab Mentak above all else? Every time I'm watching them struggle and wondering what that's about. Do they just love to suffer or what?

This is probably mostly applicable for NRA but I assume anyone with SDN might need to know this. Also curious about Titans PN and Nanoforge Relic as you choose where those go.
I heard in some podcasts talk about stacking for making Diplo really stronk, and stuff like Bio Stims or NRA faction tech. But on the flip side you might get stuck on the Attachment objective.
I'm leaning towards stacking because it also buffs production which feels like it kinda shifts the scale.
Feel like this is a matter of opinion as hard to say if it's worth sacrificing economy for the off chance of the objective or if it's worth it to ensure you auto score the objective. There's also a thought that if you're in a position to be worrying about this you may be spreading several attachments anyways. Curious what your opinion is on this
Wondering if I should even really bother with tech R1. I can barely scrape together $4 but thats like 8 infantry as I'm rolling through if I want it which sets me up for 10+ production forward for R2. If I tech I will be at like 4 production and have to spend R2 getting my forces built up. Feels like a long road to GD+ C2 if I don't start early though. On the other hand I also want Sarween asap so kinda feels like I need to tech that R1 even if I lose out on a lot of production.
I know it depends on situation just asking in general. I find it risky saying specifics as feels like people I play with read every post on here and am worried about getting doxed.
Wondering about this for something like Sol or Saar or Arborec where a lot of the faction strength is their special unit. I always feel letting Nekro get those is kinda too good so I think to avoid it so they can't get my special unit. Other cases like Hacan I feel QDN is pointless if another copy is on the table.
Do you think it's the right choice or I should just get my faction techs knowing Nekro will get it too?
This game already has a massive learning curve so a bit nervous about trying any of the variants. Some seem to have all new factions which seems too much to me. I see a lot of the games on Async seem to be Discordant Stars, but feels weird to have to learn all new factions? I also saw some mode where you play as different Mahact kings or something which sounded weird. Franken is very disconcerting like I have no clue how to even start with that.
How many games of TE+ POK should I play before I start dipping into the others and what should I start out with first?
Thanks
Not sure how to really use the fragments as Naaz Rokha. I feel like a lot of the relics are worth less than 2 tokens and could be an argument for just eating them for tokens. I'm generating 1-2 fragments per round passively and can often buy a third so that's like an extra Leadership primary every round if I don't get any relics. Hoarding Fragments to combine them all later on so I don't get an early Throne feels like it might be missing out on too much benefits like getting an early Triad which will likely be buffed by many coloured Fragments at most points.
Failing any advice I was thinking a good gameplan would be to combine the first 2-3 to see which relics I get then hoard the rest.
Should I always sell speaker + retain first pick?
Normally main reason to grab Politics over Diplo/Construction as a late pick is so I can Leadership into Custodian right?
Would you bother with Politics just to grab Trade R2 or Diplo better then?
How do you decide to R1 Politics as a late/last pick versus other lower tier picks?
I don't like this mechanic. Had it happen a few times where someone got gifted 2+ supports and then they insta catapulted into a win despite being massively behind.

Feels like a way for people to grief and just throw the win to someone else because they feel they don't have a chance to win and don't really care anymore.

Promotes boat floating because you're more likely to get gifted supports/ win the popularity contest if you don't ever do anything aggressive

We ban support swap but people still trade the support
So I just grab SDN and turtle on 3+ planets (one of each type) with a mech on each and spam token activations on each, while also using my agent? Grabbing the faction tech as a luxury to re-use planets multiple times? Anything else?
Dunno how this happened but I've had Arborec on offer nearly every draft lobby since I start this game. I'm at a crossroads on when I should try the faction out. I know it needs a ton of resource, but does that mean it works with low influence too? Most Arborec I see get almost 0 tech, what about tech skips?
