What’s the grade dispute process like?

Hey guys,
I’m at the end of my course and I feel like after it’s all over I’m gonna end the course with an A- hopefully.

Now I have a discussion in week one where I was accused of AI, my advisor when I spoke to her about disputing she said wait for the end you might finish with an A and don’t bother with the headache as it won’t be needed. This professor has been extremely difficult and harsh.

I feel if I dispute that first grade and get those 25 points back it will bump be up to an A

My question is what’s the process like? What evidence do you need to provide?

It’s a casual week one discussion not an essay so I wrote it off the cuff I don’t have like a Google Docs thing that tracked my process, and I think the professor understood it wasn’t AI because he never accused me of AI again for the rest of the 7 modules after that. But he didn’t change the grade out of ego he has a big ego thing.

Gave me a B on my last project which was worth 350 points due to a small correction that needed to be made. I fixed it and sent a nice email. His response was just take my feedback and do better in your next courses.

I’ve had other professors that loved you wanting to correct and do better.

Anyway this course has been anxiety for 2 months.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you guys so much for taking the time to read and reply.

I wish you all the best with your degrees, I have hopefully 2 or 3 terms left so like 4 or 5 courses something like that and I’ll be done. I used to say I want to enjoy this process of education. My last few professors really made me feel I can’t wait for this to be over.

I got accused of using AI

My professor gave me an F and insists that I used AI to write my discussion when I didn’t.

They even said that it’s just red flags they noticed that made them suspect, but doesn’t necessarily mean I did use it.

I emailed them and they said their decision is final and so far the only guidance they have moving forward is to do my own work. Which doesn’t help me because I did.

Has this happened to you guys before? It’s a first for me.

I’m in my last year less than a year left I’ve maintained a 4.0 this whole time I pride myself on that. It’s been a journey to even get to this point, my educational journey has been tough, really tough.

I don’t even use AI as a source even though they say you can if you cite it. Because I worry about this issue. So I just avoid it entirely.

Any help is appreciated.

And yes I did contact my advisor for their thoughts. Didn’t reply yet.

Question about multiple submissions

Hey everyone,
I have a question about what happens if I submit twice, does the professor just grade the latest one?
I posted my assignment and then realized the formatting didn’t get saved correctly so I fixed it and uploaded again, all before due dates. I was wondering will the first be ignored? Or will the first be the one that’s graded.

Thanks 🙏🏻
