NIT Durgapur scamming students over scholarship money.
Genuinely asking because this is getting ridiculous.
We are supposed to receive scholarship money, but months later we're still being told “it’s pending” / “under process”.
The ministry says the scholarship has been processed. The college says it's somewhere in their internal process. We are left waiting for their own money while nobody gives a straight answer.
At what point does a “pending scholarship” become a possible scam or financial mismanagement?
If the money has actually been received/processed for students, where is it going? Why isn't it being released? Who is holding it?
We are already struggling financially, and the institute is sitting on money that is supposed to help us.
This isn't about ₹500 or ₹1,000. For some students, scholarship money is essential for fees, hostel, food and basic expenses.
How many of you are facing this like us, and what is the proper way to get this resolved?
(They are looting student funds, fest budget and now Scholarships).
