I am building a dynamo style visual programming plug in for navisworks, i have been using dynamo in revit for years and i really missed this type of workflow and automation when i started using navisworks.

With some coding experince and some help of google and ai i am bringing it to navisworks, is this something you would be interested in ?

I am developing a free and open source ifc exporter for navisworks, navisworks doesn't natively support ifc export and i have tried so many options, they are either expensive, slow, or limited on options, do i built my own, I have been using this for a while for my own work now but i would appreciate if anyone can give feedback or report bugs.

It is free, it is opensource, download it and use it or down the source code and do with it whatever you want.

Some features for nerds:

\- split ifc file export into multiple files based on size, for example less than 200 mb

\- export multiple ifcs based on search sets or selection sets

\- entity and parameters mapping

\- geometry instancing for repeat elements

\- dark mode ( personally i don't like it but i know lots of you do)

\- supports ifc 2x3 and ifc 4 ( i would love to add new versions too if i get the time )

\- you can save your settings as profiles and load them again later.

Edit : thank you everyone for the positive attitude and the helpful feedback i got from everyone, it is really appreciated.

I found that there is no easy way to edit ifc files on the fly online without downloading or buying a software so i created one myself, added 60 tools so far from ifc size reduction to splitting and merging ifc files to even clash detection, i made it all free and online.

This has been a passion project of mine for the past year and i would like some of your feedback please
