Went on holiday for a week and came back to this 🥲

My £170 VG10 sujihiki from Musashi got dropped by the dishie - one could say it’s my fault for letting them use my nice set while I was gone.

First - has anyone got some tips on re-tipping? I’ve got a 400grit stone but I’m worried I’ll just end up carving grooves into it.

Second - what am I going to do with the dishie? (Apparently he cried because he was scared of my reaction - I honestly had a rough holiday so it was the least of my concerns when I got back) I kinda want to let him off the hook but I’m also taking suggestions for was to “prank” or lightly tease him for it. (I’m actually gonna get him to help me repair it and make it into a bonding experience- but I still want to mess with him a little.)

Can I see y’all’s knife rack please?

I’ll show you mine if you show me yours 😘 (just looking for inspiration and knife porn - I’m a simple man)

Delivery driver excess again!

Only wanted two punnets of off the vine Tom’s (for a garnish on a special) and got two kilo - supplier said keep it - any recommendations for a way to use this all up? It’s pretty fresh so I’ve got some time but won’t go through this naturally as salad toppings because we’re not that salad heavy. Classic English pub By the way for culinary context. Need some help getting inspired - any suggestions welcome 🙏 thanks in advance 🤌💘
