Zigbee temperature sensor for fridge and freezer?

I want to be able to monitor the temperature of the fridge/freezer when the power goes out, so I know when to hook up the generator (Home assistant runs on a battery backup). I have a lot of Aquara zigbee devices so was thinking an outdoor Zigbee temperature sensor may work. Has anyone done anything like this? If so what device would you recommend for this purpose?

Looking for a quiet, long runtime generator under $1000

Looking to power the following devices:

  • 2 full size fridges
  • Gas heated furnace
  • TV and soundbar
  • Wifi router

I estimate I need something in the peak 4000-5000w range.

Budget is $1,000.

Most important features to me:

  1. Quiet (live very close to neighbors)
  2. Long runtime
  3. Safety features like CO sensor

Electric start would be nice to have but not essential. I like the idea of dual fuel, but realistically I only see myself using gas, so gas-only models are fine with me if that saves on cost.

On paper the Westinghouse iGen5000 models seem to hit my requirements, but I'm seeing some complaints about the realiability.

Are there any other options I should look into?

Is Runna worth it as an Android watch user?

I'm thinking about trying Runna to help give some structure to my training. I like the idea of a personalized plan and getting audio cues to stay on target. However I'm an android user (Pixel Phone + Galaxy Watch) and Runna has no android watch app, meaning I wouldn't be able to see any stats on my wrist unless I were to use both Samsung Health + Runna.

Anyone here using Runna like this? Is it still worth it, or does the lack of watch support get in the way?
